Discussions regarding holidays in Egypt.
With regards to a lads/girls holiday, would not recommend, stick to magaluf or ibiza. The clubs really are nothing to write home about, Pacha is really bad compared to the one in the Med. I found Sharm mainly a place for couples and families, peaceful and very beautiful. You def will not get away with the antics we see in the med, such as flashing your private parts, mooning and general bad behaviour from the young brits, such as drunken foolishness, foul language, abusive behaviour, vomiting on the floor, urinating in public, having sex (or virtually) in public etc . I cannot see the Egyptian Police being as forgiving as the Med Police, and rightly so. Hopefully, Sharm wont turn into a new Magaluf full of these losers who make it hell for everyone else. I will never forget the widlife of Magaluf as long as i live, the girls are the worst!! My family live in Majorca, they hate the summer season and the Spanish see Brits as W*****s, their words, not mine.

A girl at work, age in her mid twenties, just had a week in Sharm with a mate and really didn't like it at all. Totally bored, (apart from the one day trip to Cairo to see the Pyramids). I said to her 'good job you didn't go for a fortnight' and she said she would have begged thomson rep to let them come home!!
I think its the fact that theres so little to do in the evenings. Once you've been into Namma Bay and had a look round a couple of times that's it really.
I know everyones different and some young people might like it (especially if they like to snorkel & dive) but I agree its probably better for families and couples.
She did say she couldn't fault their hotel though which was the Sheraton Sharm, she thought it was beautiful.

There are definately clubs in Naama Bay, Pacha is owned by the same co. as Pacha in Ibiza, they have Ministry of Sound and Sintillate there as well as there own nights. There is a russian version of Planet Hollywood called cccp and a club called Black House at the the Rosetta hotel. The Hard Rock Cafe is a club from midnight til 4am every night. Little Buddha
( sister to Buddha Bar Paris ) is also great but pricey. Anew club has recently opened in Naama Bay called Valentino's.

You've got Camel Bar and the Tavern which are always packed and the complex with Dune , 1st Floor and Oasis are also popular

be warned though, Pacha in Naama Bay is nothing like the one in Ibiza, it is mainstream pop, however they do hold a GAY night when you can listen to the likes of Cher, Kyle and Madonna...i thought it was cack compared to Ibiza Pacha. When i went in June they even turned the air con down so people had no choice but to buy more drinks, which are more expensive than UK prices, it is also expensive to get in, a bottle of water was very heavily marked up. Camel Bar was good and Hard Rock was amazing! Just to add, there was no sign of any decent dance music in Pacha atall.
