You could try Vassiliki on the south coast of Lefkada, this is commercialised but not as much as Nidri, also convenient for the ferry across to Fiskardo on Kefalonia.

Hello,

We've been there last october. Nikiana is not really a village. Only a few houses.
We stayed at the Ionian blue hotel. That's a very good hotel with beautiful views. But the village is not very nice. We went to Nidri every evening.
And Ouzo is right, Vassiliki is a nice place to stay

Thanks a lot for the replies. We have now seen some studios in Perigiali which looks as though it is on the edge of Nidri. Can anyone advise whether there is a little more there?

hello, i stayed in nidri a few years ago and although we went out of season (early may) it was not busy and was nice and relaxing. although nidri is classed as 'commercialised', i did not find it to be. it has a variety of bars and resturants, but i thought that it was still a nice, friendly, small resort. :P

Thanks a lot. I have just booked two weeks in Nidri at the end of May. I think it is on the edge of the resort, so can't wait now!!

hope you have a lovely time! its a very beautiful island! just a tip, most of the hotels do not have pools, but its not a problem as any hotel that has one is happy to let you use theirs. but nidri is right on the beach anyway, which has such clear water so who needs a pool!
