i have been in the complex, very nice swimming pool, slides and lazy river. Its just a stone throw to the beach, you couldnt ask for more in my opinion.

You couldn't have picked a better place to stay for your first visit.... Adam's Beach is one of the best ones I think in Aiya Napa...fantastic location, right on the end of Nissi Beach. You'll love it!!

So do I agree you could not have picked a better location for your hotel that Adams Beach, when we was in Cyprus 2 years ago we sat on Nissi beach and saw this hotel its fantastic. If I ever go back to Cyprus this is the hotel I would book.......lucky you

The only thing to knock it really is that nissi beach is frequented by masses of 18-25 year olds during the day attracted by the club style bars playing dance and chill music, so if your not into that sort of scene then I would stay around the hotel pool area which is huge Beach is littered with millions of fag ends and very polluted too. apart from that its great, especially walking out to the island a few hundred yards out from the beach

I agree with Lukey the sand at nissi beach is full of fag ends, crisp packets, empty drink cartons etc.We were there in October2002 and stayed at the Christofina behind the Adams beach hotel. We used to walk for about 10 minutes to the next beach,Landra beach and this is a beautiful beach. It has crystal clear water, shelving gently, soft CLEAN sand which is kept imaculate by the sunbed vendors, and there is a lovely resturant at the back of the beach for lunch time snacks. When you come out of the hotel onto Nissi avenue turn LEFT and walk along the coastal path for about 10 minutes. Its 100% better than nissi beach and much quieter too.

Yes I agree, Landra beach is alot nicer and quieter. Not that far to walk from the Adams Beach...

We stayed in the Adams Beach for 2 weeks last July (2004) and it was fantastic ! The hotel, the pools, the beach etc etc.
The only thing that disappointed a little was the evening entertainment in the hotel which was very low key. But there are plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance and Ayia Napa itself is only a short bus/taxi ride away.

I'm thinking of booking holiday end of March to Nissi Bay Cyprus staying at Adams Beach Hotel, would like to know what the weather is like and what Nissi Bay is like for going out for food, bars, shops etc? and whats Ayia Napa like? heard dodgy reviews? so if i do go want to try and avoid Ayia Napa??? I've got a feeling its full of young clubbers??

Hi han005

although nissi beach is far out from ayia napa (ABout 10 mins bus ride) you will find that the beach during the day is frequented by a large number of 18 - 30s who are attracted to the 'ibiza style' feel to the area due the a number of beach bars playing a variety of house and other types of music. Its a beautiful spot but you will find the beach littered with cigiarette ends and other rubbish, apart from thats it has a fantastic outlook with a excellent blue sea and a little island jsut off thje coast you can walk out too. The adams hotel it huge... has a great beach side location and there is strict security so only hotel users can use the facilities. Ayia Napa is not as bad as you think....there is a mixture of all types of pubs and people so try it first...

I totally agree with you Lukey.... Adams Beach hotel is probably one of the best in Aiya Napa with a fab location.... I don't think you will have any probs at the end of March. Infact I would think the end of March would be abit dead... Maybe I'm wrong as I've noticed the season starts abit earlier now... I'd be abit concerned about iffy weather though.... I think the pool and the sea will be pretty cool at that time of year... I'd hang on till at least May if I was you....to be on the safe side.. :)

Stayed in the Adams Beach last August. The hotel was fabulous, the only slight critisism was that the entertainment at night was very low-key.
Nissi beach was lovely. You get the best of both worlds, the beautiful Adam's pools and the crystal clear water in Nissi bay.
Outside the hotel there are plenty of bars and restuarant within walking distance or a short bus / taxi ride into Ayia Napa. In Ayia Napa itself there are plenty of places to go for all ages, loud bars, kareoke bars, bars with shows (comedians etc) and quieter bars just to relax in.
But as i said at the begining we were there in August so don't know how lively it will be in March.

Hi Han
We were over for 3 weeks at Christmas, I can tell you there was a lot of places open in the area.

We have been in the end of March the weather was good , hot through the day cold at night, We got no rain but there is always a chance of it at that time of the year,

You will not need to avoid Aiya napa at this time, this is the best time to see it, There were people swimming in the water in the sea infront of your hotel at Christmas.

I would try Ayia Napa as it's lovely during the day and is full of bars and restaurants etc in the evening. Maybe if you want something more low key try Protaras it has plently of restaurants and bars which have karoke nights. The beach there is lovely and is more suited to families and couples etc wanting to relax. Saying that though if you do stay in Ayia Napa and have a great hotel with lots of things to do and entertainment then you don't have to go out every evening so you have the best of both worlds.

We think we're changing our minds from Paphos to Nissi Bay because the beach's sound nicer there.
Can anyone reccomend accomodation in Nissi Bay, we're booking our holiday direct.
We have the flight sorted out, now we need somewhere nice to stay.

PS it's our first visit to Cyprus.
