I'll side with Brian. The Pavlo Napa is a good 4* A/I, right on the Sandy Bay beach which is quieter than Nissi but only a 10 minute walk away.

Have a look at the "Aqua Sol Hotels" if you fancy a S/C place.

Good hunting,

Nissi beach is lovely, nice white sand

I stayed at the Christofina hotel which is just over the road from the Adams beach hotel which is on Nissi beach. It is in the Thomson small and friendly brochure. Its a lovely hotel and half the price of many in the area.

Nissi beach is great .....but....littered with fag ends, and I mean really littered. Its also really crowded in peak season with the mainly18-30 crowd with a number of sprawling beach bars playing club style music, if you like that scene, which i do, then you will love it too. But be open minded

Just thought I would let you know (came back last week) - the Jet Skis at Nissi Beach are £25 per 15 mins - however if you go to Landa Beach - which is much quieter and in my opinion nicer, they are only £17 per 15 mins - quite a difference for just 10 mins walk down the coastal path going west (away from Ayia Napa).

We stayed at the Olympic Lagoon just over the road from that beach

I thought that the prices for the hire of beach stuff was set by the government in Cyprus :?:

Not sure that these prices are up to date tho'

nissi bay is a lovely area quieter than the centre of napa. The Dome is not on nissi beach but macronissos beach which is the best beach on the island. Nissi beach is really crowded but they play brilliant tunes from all the djs and its a real party atmosphere

parents are looking at cyprus next year and found aome nice hotels in nissi bay area which state that ayia napa main town is 1.8 km away. just wondering what nissi bay is like. is it a resort within itself or is a walk into ayia napa essential for night life.

thanks

"Nissi Bay" is exactly what it sounds like, a small bay with a few hotels around it, by no stretch of a travel agents vivid imagination could this be called a resort in it's own right, it's just the "Nissi Beach end of Ayia Napa".

You'd be hard pressed to spend more than one evening in the local area

Hope this helps 8)

they want a nice hotel preferably 4 star plus but all the nice ones seemed to be in the nissi bay area. is it a long walk from that area into town. they are looking at the grecian something (sorry i cant remember) and it says its 1km from ayia napa main nightlife

Although it's an easier walk into town from the Grecian Bay(5*) or Grecian Sands(4*) they'd almost certainly need a Taxi to take them back as it's uphill from the town, if they're coming in July/August they'd probably want a taxi both ways.

These hotels are at the other end of the town from "Nissi Bay", there are no 4/5* hotels right in the town so they'll have to make a choice as to which end they'd like... I'd just choose the hotel and not worry about it :)

PS: The Grecian Park is MILES away, so don't book that unless you want a taxi everywhere or to hire a car.

Hi Greenshoes,
You could look at the Tasia Maris Beach Hotel, this is in Thomsons Gold. The hotel is at the Nissi Beach end of Napa, about 20mins walk from the main buzz of Napa.

it was greacian sands they like the look of.

i think they actually have the thomson gold brochure some where. i will get them to have a look. thanks

parents have found this hotel in thomsons brochure and it looks lovely. they were looking for a 'better' hotel but they actually rather like the location of this one in ayia napa. so is the hotel in a good location for them. they are in there swinging 40s and like a good time but dont want to go clubbing, well i hope not  would this hotel cater for them do you think?? they have never been to ayia napa before.

thanks :D
