Hi everyone,
We've been going to Candolim for the last 5 years Xmas and NewYear and now want a change and thinking of going to South Goa, maybe Cavelossim. Can anyone please give us any information on how they compare overall eg. food, drink, taxi fares, hotel bar prices. Any information would be greatly appreciated
the south is a lot quieter and more relaxed
evenings tend to be spent in restaurants eating drinking and chatting
there isnt any night clubs
you get the odd kareoke or quiz night
prices seemed the same to me you pay the same for a meal or a beer and the taxi drivers will try to get what they can off you same as up north
if you would like any more info feel free to ask anita woody
We have also stayed in Cavelossim. The south is quieter, cleaner, nicer, I did not think there was much difference in the price of stuff but cant say I took much notice. What you dont get though is the culture, you will see lots more strange and funny things happening in the north. I would say a week in each for a 2 week holiday is ideal but couldnt say in which order.
Thank you for your replies. We will probably give Cavelossim a try now :
