. Surely these are two important aspects of anyone's holiday. Why didn't they inform me of this before I paid my final balance. I am so cross. From your experiences is this worth a letter of complaint or not?Restaurant is no longer available & evening entertainment is no longer provided
It would definitely be a phone call to change accommodation or a full refund if it really impacts on your enjoyment. The tour operators think they can do what they like because theres not much competition but you should at least been told and given the option as to whether you still wanted to go.Give them a call and see what happens.T.
I have sent an e mail to start with , to which I have received an automated reply with an incident number, telling me I will receive a reply within 7 days. It's the principle of the thing which bugs me - waiting until you pay the total cost then giving you the information. PS I should have said it's the Levante Club apartments, not that it makes any difference.
I wouldn't expect too much from an e-mail,it is better to ring and speak to somebody, get their name first and see howthey can help, ask to speak to their manager or write to the person who signed your letter,we were given the chance to change hotels or get a refund when our booking changed.T.
There's also a Levante Club hotel Helen next to the Flamingo Oasis so it's lucky you changed it. After all the trouble we've had with Direct Holidays I feel sorry for you. They should definitely have told you before you paid your full amount, or when you actually paid it. They're getting worse. Jean
As for changing accomodation. I don't think that would be an option for us as this holiday has already increased by over £300 per couple since we booked it. We'd never get what we want now, within budget. I paid my balance the same time as Helen and am still waiting for confirmation of payment, so I've yet to receive a letter informing me of the changes
xx
If it's apartments that you've booked ie self-catering, I think you'll find they'll just tell you there's plenty of restaurants nearby. If you were B&B or half-board it would be more serious. The entertainment aspect is perhaps worth complaining about, even if there is other entertainment around.
It won't really bother us. It's just the principle of the thing. My sister is coming with us, and although she paid her balance at the same time as me, she has not yet received her confirmation- and has not been made aware of these changes.
