Hi, Just found a good deal to these apartments, and wondered if anyone had been lately, or has been in the past (already read reviews, but not all post there) - seems a nice enough place?

What will the weather be like middle of April? We've never been to the Canary Islands before... Is the nightlife ok?

Thanks,
Lizzie xx

Hi Lizzie

We are just back from a week in Corralejo. I can't comment on the apartments - as we stayed at the Bristol Playa apartments. We had a couple of overcast days which was a wee bit disappointing. However, the weather improved and we had four beautiful and very HOT days. I found it a wee bit chilly at night time though so would recommend taking a fleece or light jacket with you.

We found a really good bar - Flicks Bar - which is on the main street opposite Santander - we liked it there. And as we booked with Thomas Cook we got half price drinks between 8pm and 10pm every night which was great. I would recommend a visit to there.

Watch out for folk in the main street handing out scratch cards (we supposedly won the big prize!!) - it's a timeshare company.

Hope you have a good holiday.

Glad you liked it Ray as we will be staying at these apartments in a few weeks for the first time. We have been to Lanzarote and Gran Canaria before but it will be our first visit to Fuerteventura. We will be hiring a car at the airport for the whole two weeks so we are looking forward to seeing the rest of the island as well.

you will really enjoy it we did. weve booked now for 27th may at catillo san jorge in the other town of costa caleta would have loved to go back to corralejo i love it there but prices were too expensive this year.word of advice you can you use the oasis dunas entertainment and pools for a change of scenery.

you must try a steak house you walk along the main strip into town and turn right were the sighn for wakiki beach is its on right hand side its gorgeous and very reasonable best t-bone steak ever tasted

enjoy :cheers

Cheers, might well try the Waikiki beach as I love a T-bone steak. From reading reviews, Corralejo seems to have quite a few decent restaurants in town and harbourside so that's good news.

Just got back from Corralejo yesterday after a great first time holiday in Fuerteventura staying at the Oasis Papagayo complex. I'm pretty sure the steak house you were describing is the Casa de la carne steak house. I had two excellent steak meals in there during our stay. Thanks for the recommendation.

Here's their website link http://www.casadelacarne.es/en/index.html
