I have a map from a Fueterventura website but I can't find the Oasis Papagayo . The Oasis Village is shown , but according to this website (hotel reviews) that's a different place and is German run.
Can anyone tell me whereabouts Oasis Papagayo is ?
Next to the waterpark - on the main road from the town.
We had a fantastic time there last June.

Just booked again for the Oasis Pap for July. We went in February for 2 weeks and it was fantastic, the entertainment and kids reps were great. Has anyone been since February? Just wondering if it's the same entertainers and kids club reps? Roly and Lucy for the hotel entertainment?
Cheers.
The complex is brilliant. Worth hiring a car, if only to visit the lagoons at El Cotillo - 20 mins away.
Thanks.
We booked a holiday in febuary with Thompsons to go to Fuerteventura, we booked the Oasis Papagayo in Correleo for the 19th july 2006 for 2 weeks flying from glasgow and staying self catering. On the Thomsons web site it said kids were aged up to 16, for the holiday above, went to our local thomsons and booked the holiday, My wife, myself and two kids aged 13 and 7, we were booked into a one bedroom apartment with pull down/setee bed in the living room and two single beds in the bedroom, we have stayed in apartments like this many times, told everything was OK and paid over two grand then and there. a few weeks later we recieved confirmation of the holiday, hotel, flight times etc but it said these apartments were for one child over 12 or two children under 12 only.
Went back to the Thomsons shop and showed them the letter, they said it should be ok but would double check with the hotel themselves, a few days later they phoned us back and said it was OK nothing to worry about and have a nice holiday.
Guess What....they phoned me today at 5:00pm and told us we now cant go on that holiday, they said that Thomsons have had SO many complaints about the size of the rooms that they wont let familys of four stay there anymore(in that type of apartment).
They said we can have a refund or could move us to alternative accomodation, the alternative accomodation not even being in the same resort, we booked the resort of Correlo for the kids and the kids activitys in the hotel, the waterpark etc. They know want to move us to the other side of the island.
The thing is I have now booked my holidays off work and cant change them, so if I cant get exact dates we cant go anywhere, we have also booked car parking at the airport and kennels for the dogs, if we cancel these we lose our deposits.
Checked out the alternative accomadation and it is no where near as good as where we were supposed to go with nearly nothing for the kids, explained this to Thomsons today but all they said was sorry, like it or lump it thats all we can do.
What are our options and what can we do as we only have a month to do something.
I see Sarah has replied to you in the complaints section
Does anyone know if pool inflatables are left in a particular spot when people go home?..save us buying them.
Also anyone else going that time, especially if you have a 5/6/7 year old girl, please make yourselves known....if I can get my daughter a friend on arrival it would save days of shyness.
Thanks for any replies.
we will be arriving from manchester on the 26th sept for 10 nights , anybody else staying here !!!!!!!
cant wait , dead excited
There is a restaurant on site called Don Corleones that will be open until about 11pm. If you don't fancy that, just get recettion to call you a cab into town and you will find loads still open until midnight.
sorry to bring this but if you are flying out on the busiest airport day on the island we found that some of the bars and restaurnts if not most of them tend to close on the busiest day. we had to eat within the hotel complex. abit annoying considering it was expensive and a small variety.
went in december!
We are off to the Oasis Papagayo in 2 weeks time
And i have a couple of questions, that hopefully someone here may be able to help me with. Firstly i know that at some Thomson superfamily propertys have a towel service, where you can leave a deposite and use there pool towels, i have checked on thomsons website but there is no mension of this service , so if anyone can cast some light on this id be greatfull.
Secondly the mini market within the complexe what time does it shut, we should be in the resort for around 8pm and will obviously need to get some water milk ect, but dont really fancy the walk into town on the first night.
Also we have booked a 2 bed upperfloor apartment, and would like a quite location overlooking the pool, so if anyone has a room number that they could recommend, that would be FAB !!
Many Thanks,
Shelley
Just thought of another Q do they allow inflatables in the pool ?
are they a ok complex? what is there around then?
not fussed about it being children friendly as my mum and dad are taking my 11 year old sister to these apts next year.
