It's a bit too far from Naama to Old Sharm
OK from Ras Um Sid or Fanara

but the local s think you are mad to walk
especially as the taxi fare is only 20LE and it's quite a boring walk add to that every taxi that goes pass will want you to ride with them so...............

look for the port on the maps and thats the town area

It's fun to wind the taxi drivers up by walking
they don't understand why anyone would want to

We walked from the Hilton Waterfalls at Ras Um Sid to Old Sharm in about 45 minutes must have had every taxi in Sharm pass us twice to try to get us to use them

The walk itself was boring nothing to see except scrubby rocks and grit no wildlife at all until we hit the Mosque / radio station/ banks area

But the best thing about the taxi's is you can haggle them down and you pay for the whole taxi not per person just threaten to walk that brings the price down VERY quickly

I wouldn't want to walk that route...... even a diesel fume filled taxi with a broken door seems appealling.....
also, why are the back passenger seats high up...... you bang your head on the roof!!!!

They are versions of the 505 which is 7 seats though most of them are labelled 405 they are still 7 seats but the midlle row (the back seats ) are ove the rear wheels so are higher

i think the old town is called sharm el maya perhaps this helps with your map!

also, you dont want to pay 20 pounds frfom naama to old sharm, try 10 maximum 15!!
