Hi Paul,
The other beaches that people are on about are on the far side of the lagoon, the one we used is called Sugar Beach, ( i think it used to be known as Bobs Beach )
Yes they do provide a bus service there but I'm not sure of the tel No. but it is easy enough to get to.
Just get off the normal dolmus at Olu Deniz, walk along the front with the sea to your left, after a short walk the road forks, take the right fork,
follow along for a couple of hundred yards and the entrance comes up on your left.
food and drinks reasonably priced, sunbeds 4 ytl each and brollies 4 ytl each.

There are no hotels or apartments around the lagoon (natural protected area) except the Meri - which is up the mountain a bit from the lagoon, not waterside.

There are two large beachfront AI hotels for the Belcekiz Beach. The Belcekiz Beach Hotel & the Olu Deniz Resort Hotel and one B&B The Oyster Residence (boutique hotel). ALL OTHERS ARE BEHIND THESE & NOT SEAFRONT.

The Olu Deniz Resort Hotel is at the front & side of the resort & has sea-view rooms nestled inthe side of the mountain that looms up behind & beside Olu. I think its worth a few pound extra for these rooms, but you need to be fit-ish.
The Belcekiz Beach Hotel is right beside this, towards the centre of Olu (everywhere is fairly central, its not a really wide beachfront - mainly because of the mountain). I don't know if their top floor rooms are sea-view, perhaps a regular of this hotel can tell you. Lally???
The Oyster Residence is sold by sovereige holidays & is not cheap. More suited to couples than families. Nearer the lagoon than the two AI, a very central beach front location. Snazzy decked pool, fab restaurant.

You wil love it whichever you pick.

Hi!

Thanks to Kim and Maverick for their replies, did look at the hotel reviews and other topics on Olu Deniz on this site, think I'm being too picky but looking for somewhere not too loud with decent sized balcony and not too hilly!LOL! ( Must be getting old!) Not sure about AI or not, going AI in July in Side so will review the situation after that. Once again thanks!

Olu is only a tiny bit hilly, its like a valley & at the seaside with the mountains looming up around it on all sides.

Both of those AI's are quality. The sea-view rooms at the Olu have more terraces than balconys, I think some may have small-ish balconys.

Lally can advise you on the balconys for The Belcekiz Beach Hotel.

The lagoon is fab if you're wary of the cold rough sea (like me)

Telephone number for Suara Beach which is brilliant is

+90 252 617 01 23 That's the one on the card inside it says
free transfer both ways.
We went early in the season and the free transfers had not started. If you got a normal dolmus and asked for Suara beach they would stop at oluDeniz and then carry on to Suara Beach lots of people were walking it.
The beach is perfect for all ages. It has fine white sand and because it is a lagoon very little waves. There is a snack bar and a restuarant, toilets showers. Sunbeds and brollies were reasonable price.
Loved it so did my three year old grandaughter

Went to Suara Beach every day last year. Just got ready to go to the beach then asked hotel reception to ring Suara Beach. 5 Mins later the mini bus picks you up. They then take you back to your hotel when you are ready to go. They even used to wait while one man collected his newspaper from the shop.
The food and the milkshakes are to die for. When we asked for the bill it always arrived with a large plate of fresh fruit which was free.
The water is like a warm bath and no rocks to step on. GREAT PLACE

Hi
Lally here! Re the Belcekiz Beach
Can't really help with the sea views I'm afraid as we asked for and got ground floor rooms each time! I can confirm however that the views from the Plaza bar and restaurant are to die for(mountain background, glimpse of lagoon and fab view of the beach) so a first floor room should have a good view. There are rooms in the annexe and the one we stayed in for a late checkout did have a partial sea view.
Fab hotel, brill location , can't recommend it enough

Paul - Suara is nice but we prefered sugar beach. Hammocks, big cushions, great bar (with an aussie outback theme!!) chilled music (faithless mostly)
Kids loved it
Aussie outback bar on a turkish beach - said it reminded them of Ibiza!!
