Hi,
After visiting Olu a few times in the last 2 years i thought i'd put one of my paragliding photos to good use and create a map of olu. Its basically there to give people an idea of where hotels are, how far they really are from the beach and the general layout of the resort.

I've finished putting the first version together and was hoping some of you will test it for me. Let me know if there are any errors (hotels in the wrong place, wrong name etc) and also fill in a few of the blanks which i'm not to sure of.

I will be adding more to this daily so please keep checking back as it will be changing a lot. I plan to add the popular bars and resturants to the map at some point soon too.

hi, this is something we were looking for when we first went to olu, well done.

if i remember rightly the hotel opposite sun city is called perdikia,
we go back to olu 14 sept. so we will get some more names and locations (maybe photos ?) for you if required

The Dorian Hotel is the one between the Montebello and the Turquoise. It has the two pools in the pic.

Any of you guys know where the manzara is on this map ?

danny - i think the manzara is further away up the hills a bit so you won't see it on the map. its about 20min walk from the beach.

Great photo!

Right at the very back of the resort, just past the Flamingo is the Morina Hotel, I think you can just about see it at the edge of the photo

Very imaginative photo and very useful. Glad you didn't drop the camera.

Karbel Sun is marked 4 streets back in the centre when you manage to load the site.

I think this time when we arrive in Icmeler we are going to book the tour Fethiye and the Blue Lagoon to see what Olu is like

what trouble are you having loading it guys? its only just over 1mb now. Should be easily small enough for most modern connections. Takes about 5 seconds to load on mine.

Thanks so much for the map - brilliant idea! Did take best part of a minute to load on my pc which isn't that old, but no complaints; it made me feel like I was almost there. Still, only nine more days to go...

Thanks for the map its brill, I loaded it on my laptop in a few seconds no problem at all. Reminds me of July this year when I was there.

Managed to view the picture - absolutely excellent idea, I've been able to identify exactly where the hotel is that me and the hubby are staying at in September - only 13 more sleeps!

not cheeky at all, its in the pipeline. Was going to try and get all the hotels done first but if i get chance i'll add some on. I'll be adding the option to turn off differnt ones as well (to just show bars, or just show hotels for example) because it will get a bit clogged with pins :lol:

The Majestic is just up from the small cemetry, or it was when I was there in 2001. I think it's slightly further up hill from where you have it, but I can't make out the detail to be sure.
