my mum and me just booked 2 weeks in Majorca at what we thought was Hesperia Hotel playas de Mallorca in Santa Ponsa, we looked at all the review sites and decided it was a great hotel. We did 2 separate transactions, mine firstly then my mum. I got an email a day later to say that there was no room at the hotel I wanted and my mum got an email to confirm her holiday with all the details. I got on the phone and said how did this happen and that I had booked first etc, they then explained that there had been a mistake with the hotel and that I could indeed have the hotel I requested If I provided my mums confirmation number. I did this and within the day also got a confirmation email.
Throughout the booking process I had taken screenshots, I always do this, and I'm glad I did!
1.when reading mine and my mums confirmation email everything seemed fine, hotel name,flights etc, apart from saying that they would take more deposit money on 10/02/10(We had already just paid £216 each deposit) we wasn't notified of this prior to booking.
2.the hotel voucher that we were to print off and bring to the hotel had a completely different hotel and address that is on the other side of the island!
I called customer services and explained and I also said that I had taken screenshots of chosen hotel and I noticed throughout the booking process that everything is correct until you get to the last bit and it says my chosen hotel(which is in Santa ponsa) but underneath it says calas de mallorca.
They said why did I book a hotel with the wrong address? I was totally shocked by this, I said excuse me but I dont expect your website to show pictures of the hotel and the correct name but have a totally different place at the last moment!
I said theres a problem with your website, I have seen my chosen hotel listed in Callas De Mallorca, Palma Nova, lists family rooms when it doesn't have them, listed as all inclusive when its only half board.
The Hotel should be in Santa Ponsa, its only half board, and it does not have family rooms, you are selling a false holiday.
This was all stated in a email to them, with screenshots.
I'm waiting for them to get back to me, I just want a full refund and I will never consider booking with them again.
