We recently purchased our place in the sun with a view to retiring there in the next 5 years. Our decision was influenced by the ex pat community there.
Could anyone offer advice regarding the winter months, heating etc. Ideally we would like to puchase storage heaters which we believe be the most cost effective form of heating. My husband is also a TV freak is there a freeview satellite system available with a one off sub subscription ?

We too have recently purchased our place in the sun, a few miles away from you at Kemer. Can't help with heating, but when we were last in Fethiye at Christmas having a nose around the electrical shops to get an idea of prices, we went to a Beko shop and had a satellite system demonstrated for us. It had loads of channels and there was no subscription to pay (though I think you could upgrade with one off payments), similar to Freeview in the UK I think. There seemed to be a lot of choice anyway regarding satellite packages.
