I most certainly did contact them and I got a very lengthy reply from them, in a nutshell they pointed out that my agreement was with the owner and not them, that they couldn't assist although they would email him to ask why he was keeping the deposit. My question to them originally wasn't for help or assistance only that I was dismayed they were one of very few rental sites that don't allow feedback to be left by clients on their return (I now know that this must be why Mr G uses them only) Holidaylets reply included that they do make notes regarding issues around their rented apartments and they stay on file, but crucially they're only shared with potential renters if they ask first
I've kept the lady at Holidaylets up to speed with what's happened so far however, no replies apart from the original, so clearly it's a "wash our hands of this one"
