It's that time of year again, the brochures are out and already trying to get sorted for next August. Torn between these two as they are safer at that time of the year than the caribbean, but which to go for?
There will be us and the girls who will be 9 and 12, I need plenty at the hotel to amuse them plus interesting and varied excursions for inbetween the R&R. So far the Riu Jalisco in Mexico and the Laguna Mar in Margarita look possible, although the Laguna Mar looks a bit characterless.
Has anyone done either of these in the summer hols? How busy are they and what's the towel game like in the mornings? Or, are there other hotels that we would be advised to consider instead?
This will only be our second long haul, our first being the Iberostar Tucan in Playacar, which is now our bench mark. We loved it so it's a pretty hard act to follow. Would go back there, but fitting it into the Easter hols is nigh on impossible and I wouldn't take the chance in hurricane season.
Any advice would be much appreciated!!.
Thanks
Pam
However, I have been to Puerto Vallarta, which isn't far from the area of Mexico you are looking at, I think the quality in Mexico is much higher than Margarita as they cater for our American friends.
I'm sure whatever you choose you'll have a fantastic holiday.
