Nice little hotel in a quiet location just outside the main town of Pefkos.
No dreaded wasps or mossies at all which seemed a bit strange but there were a number of large hornet sized wasps/bees which were reddy brown colour with a yellow spot on the face and back. Any ideas what they are called would be great. Incidently they nest in burrows in the cliff faces as we were sun bathing near one. They were no problem at all though.
Back to the hotel/apartments. The owner was a lovely bloke but seemed to be losing interest. I questioned him regarding the lack of customers in his restaurant and suggested perhaps he should have a weekly greek night which always goes down well. His reply was he had one regularly up until this year and the place was full but he was tired now and basically couldnt be bothered
. Shame because the place could be a gold mine for him. Never mind just hope he doesnt go under like so many other restaurants and bars on Rhodes and other islands.However i would still recommend the place for its proximity to the main town (ten minutes walk) and the quietness.
