Would reccommend staying in the bungalow rooms though - didnt like the hotel rooms one bit!
There was quite a big thread on the Palma Rima on here a while ago, should still be on.
We walk to the Kololi area along the beach nearly every day but have never walked along the main road at night. There are several bars and restaurants on the Palma Rima road but only about £2 in a taxi down to Kololi/Sennegambia strip for a bit more variety.
Any more questions just ask
Many thanks, we are now looking at the Sunset Beach Hotel instead. Have you seen this one or know what it is like?
hi stopped there twice very nice right on the beach and last year the beach had erroded a bit but av been told since they will be working on it this summer ready for our winter best to get a taxi at night as the bumsters can be a pain nice hotel manager is called buna nige and cannot do enough for you entertainment a bit basic but more than o.k. rooms spotless and english breakfast brill do not hessitate to contact the manager as he will reply and help tou as much as he can av a gud one
hello, can anyone tell me what the location of this hotel is like? is there anywhere to go outside the hotel? bars / restaurants? thanks
We have just booked Sunset Beach Hotel in Kotu. When we went to book we were undecided between Palma Rima and Sunset Beach. In the travel agents the girl that was serving said she had been a rep there for three years and she recommended the Sunset Beach, she said it was a nicer hotel in a better location. I am hoping she was telling the truth as Sunset Beach was marginally cheaper!
Hi we have reviews
Also if its still the same, you come out the front of the hotel, turn right, walk a short way to the beach and right in front of you as you get to the beach there is a sorty of shack, that does the most fantastic "FISH&CHIPS", but not as we know!!!!!!!!!!!They put a freshly caught fish, plus chips into a foil parcel then chargrill the parcel, while you enjoy a drink or two!!!!!!!!Fantastic experience!!!!!!!!
Also if you turn right onto the beach its quite a nice walk to Senegambia!
