Hi we staying in Andronica as you will have read, we now realise this is paralimni rather than pernera or protaras...
Whats there ? Understand the decent supermarket is there but how many shops, bars and tavernas are in paralimni ?
Im hoping there are a few else protaras for us every night isnt too much of a problem ! lol
Only 14 days to go now. so excited.
Andronica is out the other side of Protaras - towards Cavo Greko.

Paralimni is the local administrative town. There are some shops.
Cheaper than nearby Protaras and ok for a half day out.

Paralimni is the administrative centre of the Greek controlled part of Amochoustos (famagust district) it is the hub for the busses in the area it also has some international shops several good tavernas and on the way in from Protaras the biggest supermarket it about 75 cents per person each way buy bus
its a brand new villa, we will be first to stay in it (if no-one books between now and july 5th)
i'm after general info about paralimni
so c'mon, tell meall about it...PLEASE
Hi we have a villa in a place called Ayai Triada which is close to paralimni other close by places are pernera and protaras. Paralimni has a few bigger shops Marks and Spencer no food though. there is a big supermarket in paralimni so you can stock up when you get there. you arrive 3 days after us. anything else you need to know just ask. have a nice holiday
The villa could be in Kapparis which is an 'area' of Paralimni beween the town and the coast and has a few bars and restaurants which may be within walking distance.
Or it could be in Pernera or Protaras which are more commercialised areas of Paralimni.
Have you got any driving directions yet to pin it down?
See this map of Famagusta aka Ammochostos. Pernera and Kapparis are above Protaras along the coast.

Protaras is the holiday resort of Paralimni.
There is not much in Paralimni, three churches in a main square, a few little bars and shops around the square.
Quite good for ceramics, and fresh fruit and vegetables.
Cheaper than nearby Protaras and ok for a half day out.

Also see alternative thread on Paralimni (hopefully the two will get merged)
There are loads of shops along the main street 1st April Avenue and a new shopping eporium with a fantastic shoe shop at the end of the main street at the Cytamast end.
The streets surrounding the main squeare you will find more shops but it does take a bit of getting used to even for the likes of me who goes regular everytime i go i have to try and remember where the streets lead to. but I do think there is more to it than a few churches and a few shops you just have to know where to find them
There is a new upmarket bar/coffe house called SENSO right opposite the church and some of the other bar/coffe houses have refurbished through this winter and the square is looking very nice .
The buses from the main tourist areas take you right into the square also parking avaiable across from Marks and Spencers or behind it.
