Shirley, why not have a look at http://www.adp.fr which is the website for all Paris airports. Click in the top right hand corner of the home page on the Union Jack and you will get all the info you need in English. Good luck to your son, and hope he brings you home a lovely present for all the hard work you have put in to make his journey trouble free. I think the website also has details of the duty-free perfumes on sale ...........
Thanks to you all for your replies. Hopefully all will go well. You've been a great help in lowering my stress levels. Talk to you all soon
Hi. My son's arrived at CDG very early for his flight. He's already been able to check-in as he only has hand luggage. He told me he didn't have a clue where to go next. He's been looking for a sign saying departures but says there aren't any
apart form signs with directions to the boarding gates. Does he need to follow these to arrive at departures or are these only for when people are ready to board. Also do they have a tanoy announcing when it's time to board or will he have to keep an eye on the boards. Thanks.
PS he says that his confirmation says boarding gate 1. He's just wandering where's the best place to spend the next couple of hours - not too far from the boarding gates. Thanks again

shirley h,
His boarding gate number should be on his boarding card. He needs to follow the signs for the boarding gates before which he'll pass through security. They announce when the flight is ready to board, but it's best to be at the gate 30-40 minutes before his scheduled departure just in case they call it early as they did with my flight back to Manchester. Do you know which termianl he's in? Each terminal is different and there are a lot of terminals / sub-terminal at CDG. 6 in Terminal 2 alone! There'll be duty free and cafe's etc to keep him occupied and depending on the terminal, free playstations!
