Hi,
I'm thinking of taking my daughter to Eurodisney in February 2007, but I don't know which airlines fly there from East Midlands, or when the winter schedules are likely to be available. Does anyone know?
Thanks,
Elaine
Haven't any direct experience, but have been on the airport website, and the only carrier shown for your route is BMI.
I have posted the relevant link below. Hope this helps.

Thanks very much for that ,
I'm going to Paris for the day to meet a friend. I was only going to take a handbag with me as hand luggage but now I want to take a larger bag (cabin size) with a change of clothes and for room for shopping. I didn't want to carry the larger bag around with me all day so was wondering if there were locker rentals where I could leave it 'til my return flight that evening?
http://www.adp.fr - the website for all the Paris airports.
You might find the answer on
Thanks but I can't read French, lol.
And have checked the World Airports site, and the Paris Airports one above and neither of those mention luggage storeage...
I have looked on various websites and they have all said that there are no "left luggage" facilities, I found a review dated January this year and it said that because of the anti terrorist plan, it has been more than 10 years since all luggage deposits have been closed.
i have experienced my first return and last visit to to charles de gaul airport, i read a few comments prior to my journey, and thought people must be exaggerating (it cant be that bad surely) oh boy it sure is and some. on landing i thought we were never coming to the terminal it was endless. on arrival at the terminal we discovered our connecting flight had been cancelled. just as well really we'd never have made it any way. but we did have one incident of a very helpful member of staff who went out of her way to help us and she solved our problem, got us on the next flight out. We bought duty free goods from our holiday destination airport. only to discover on our return to charles de gaul. even though the liquids were correctly sealed by the mautitian duty free and had not been tampered with in any way, we were refused to keep them and had to discard them at the airport. with hindsight we should have asked the security personnel to accompany us to a rest room to dispose of the liquids down the toilet or sink . one wonders what becomes of all this confiscated parphanaelia. a lesson to be learned dont bring duty free liquids from another country. iit was their loss because we had intended to spend in charles de gaul airport but after the way we were treated they got nothing. i will never thruogh choice travel from that airport again .
We recently flew Aberdeen to London Heathrow (terminal one) and then we were going on to Dubai (terminal 4) The literature on the plane said allow 90 minutes to get between the 2 terminals!!! We did it in about 15 minutes on the way out, however the return was a different story and did take nearly 90 minutes due to waiting for the bus, queues at security, queues as passport control. This was at 7.00am on a Sunday morning as well.
With regards to your duty free I am sure that would be the same in any of the UK airports, you would not be allowed to carry it through. We were quite worried as we had bought some wonderful Arabic perfumes in Dubai and had innocently forgot to pack them in the hold and had them in our hand luggage. Hubby was convinced we would have them confiscated, however we were lucky and they weren't even questioned.
I did ask the question re why are airports selling duty free when you cannot carry it through?
I agree, when myself and a freind tried to get through a section of the airport simply to go to the shops we were stopped like we were terrorists. it was mad being so man handled, i haddent been to France before and it was all rather scarey. I loved paris tho, so it didnt have a lasting affect.
As regards the duty-free I know you must be peeved to say the least to see your purchases disappearing into the control of the security staff. However I must insist that these DO NOT go into personal pockets, and the security staff DO NOT profit in any way from these confiscations.
The EU has specific regulations about the carriage of liquids in hand baggage, and these are clearly mentioned on this site.
And the reason behind it is actually for your safety and well-being and those travelling as you are.
iit was their loss because we had intended to spend in charles de gaul airport but after the way we were treated they got nothing. i will never thruogh choice travel from that airport again .
I think that this is a bit strong when it isn't the airport's fault ... they're just enforcing a Europe-wide law.
Incidentally to Sugarbabes61, duty-free shops do not necessarily know where your final destination is, even though they see your boarding card. And it is obviously not in their interest to refuse a sale!!
I had a useful discussion with a Liverpool Airport duty-free manager when I pointed out that Basel/Mulhouse is a shared airport, and therefore you cannot be sure which country the passenger is going to enter after his/her journey, so duty-free restrictions STILL apply to those leaving the baggage hall and entering Switzerland. Doubtless it did no good at all, but at least he had the opportunity to learn something ........
I have got a Flybe flight from Manchester to Paris CDG terminal 1, and then my next Air MAuritius flight leaves from CDG terminal 2. as they are different airlines, i am guessing i will have to collect my luggage and then go round to terminal 2 and check it in again with air mauritius?
is this easy to do, cos am i technically classed as a transfer passenger? which signs do i follow when i land?? i have transferred before at heathrow and miami, but they were both with the same airline so wa s alittle easier!
thask you!
I'll be doing the same route in 2 weeks! I'm flying with Air France all the way though which makes it a little easier as its an Air Mauritus code share outbound. That way, we get checked in all the way from MAN rather than have to mess about with bags in CDG. As you're travelling with two different carriers, you won't get check-in straight through. You'll have to check-in at MAN for the CDG leg, collecting your bags when in CDG then check-in for your MRA flight. I've not got my AF pack as yet, should get it at the end of the week for all the info regarding transfers around CDG but there's a guide to download from AF's website. There are shuttle busses between the terminals.

Hi. Any tips on where the taxi terminal is with regards to incomming flights from Cardiff. Will it be signposted in English. Also, which is the best firm to use. My son needs to get the taxi from the airport to rue Louis Armand in Paris. Money is no object as he will be claiming his expenses back from his company. Thanks
shirley h,
will he have any problems obtaining a receipt from the taxi driver and do most of them speak enough English to know what he's asking for.
That's one thing I can't help with with I'm afraid!! I'm ok with flights and airports, but taxi's aren't my speciality It's luck of the draw I suppose whether the taxi driver speaks good english or not. All the staff in the airport spoke good english, far better than I did French anyway! I would assume they would given it's a major international airport. As for a receipt If he has the destination written down, I'm sure the driver will know where it is.
I've just dug out the transfer booklet we were given when transfering through CDG, but it doesn't show information about taxi's since it was for transfers. There's loads of info on CDG's website. he could also get a train in to Paris then the Metro. There's a direct service from the airport in to the city. The flight will probably arrive / depart from Terminal 2F.

Hi my 21 yr old son is flying from Charles de Gaulle Paris on Thursday. I've heard that it's a very big and busy airport. Has anyone got any advice for him e.g. how easy it is to find the correct check-in desk, are there plenty of signs in English. HOw long does it take to get from check-in to departures etc. This worried mum would be grateful of any advice or suggestions. Thanks
Don't panic!! He'll be fine. As per your last post, most signs are in English as well as French. It is a large airport, but no different than travelling through Manchester or Blackpool. Same procedures, just bigger scale. He'll probably be travelling through Terminal 2F (confirmed on his ticket). Transitting through the airport is straight forward. Time / distance from check-in to departures depends on the terminal but if it is 2F, it's a couple of minutes. If I can survive CDG with my dodgy eyes, anyone can!!!
This is a photo of Terminal 2F departure lounge - it's easy peasy, honestly!! You probably can't quite see because we're limited to 500 pixels on here for photo's, but all the signs are in French / English and everything the same as most other airports. He'll be fine
