we to have booked this holiday for next august 2006 with thomas cook if you could post something after you have been that would be nice i know its a long way of but it will come around one day thanks
will do and hope you have a nice time in 2006
I am going there on Tuesday for a week so will let you know how I get on.
The flats were immaculate with stunning bathrooms. All rooms had a private balcony. (If you are serious about self catering, the cooking facilites are a little limited but with so many bars/resturants around, who needs to cook?)
I opted for a quiet room so was placed at the back. Not much of a view from there as it backed on to undeveloped wasteland but it was definitely quiet which was fine by me.
Resort had a smallish pool and bar and as it was halfway between Malia and Stalis, did not have the noisy club crowd staying.
Five minutes walk to the beach and numerous restaurants etc within a stone's throw.
Thomas Cook's Cretan night was an excellent way to sample an authentic greek buffet and watch a lively greek "caberet" and partake in a bit of table dancing with unlimited wine. All in all, a fabulous few days. Can't really fault it.
Hi, we were meant to be staying here, but got moved way out a few days before we left. I was just wondering whether Parthenis Palace had aircon or not as our place didn't? Thanks a lot x
I am also staying in the parthenis palace in september with my mates! When will u b there?
hi Kerryann welcome to HT
Yes, the apartment did have aircon.
We were sold a holiday at the Parthenis Palace for July 2006. We are, however, a group of 20-22 year old girls and wanting a lively holiday. We have stayed in Malia before, only a few months ago and were central to the nightlife. We wanted the same again and were told that this accomodation would be ok. However, a previous post caught my eye because it says that it is located between Malia and Stalis - not in the centre of Malia as we were led to believe! This won't be too bad unless it is necessary to get taxis to and from the nightlife which will really annoy me! Can anyone shed any light on this accomodation please? ie. Is it suitable for a young group like us and will we need taxis into Malia? The deposit is due in a few weeks so if it is not suitable we will be changing it, any comments are much appreciated.
Definitely not in the middle of Malia. You will need a taxi to get to the nightlife. There was a young crowd staying when I was there but they got transport to the clubs each evening. Hope this helps.
thanks
We've booked to stay here in July, 12 of us, all lads.
hi we're group of 5 girls all 18-19 and have booked to stay at parthenis palace in July 2006. We was just wondering if there would be many people of our age staying there. We will be there from the 4th of July for two weeks. Please let me know
Good to see that there is other people staying in the same hotel as us around our age!We are going on the 4th July aswell.Theres 5 18 yr olds, all girls going for 2 weeks. Can't wait to go!Wundered if there is anybody on the flight from Manchester??....
Third hol and hope its gonna b as gd as Zante 05. Any other peeps gona be around btween 11-19th July? 3 London boys headin for Malia!
Glad to see there are going to be other people staying in Parthenis Palace who are around our age! we are a group of 5 girls from the midlands going to Parthenis Palace on 4th july for 2 weeks! Cant wait, Malia here we come!!
I have read through the comments about distance / liveliness etc and think some of the comments made must have been by people who have not even been to Parthenis!
To start Parthenis Palace is between Malia and Stalis. Saying that you will not need to get a taxi to and from Malia if you're there for the nightlife. It is a 10 min walk but if you are lazy and need to be driven a short distance by all means get a taxi and waste money that could be spent on DRINK! haha!
The accomodation is a little less young-adult orientated than some of the central appartments but its by no means any less entertaining! Tito behind the bar and Takis are brilliant! They'll make u laugh and keep you entertained ofr horus! Parthenis is linked with Drossia (on the cross roads in Malia) and a beach appartment block where you can get free drinks if you're staying at one of the group. If you ever get bored at Parthenis then try the other places and see wot you think!
All in all I think that some people just need to read wot they've written. When I was at Parthenis last year I had the best holiday ever - so much so I'm trying to book it again for September this year. Everyone who goes has a brilliant time! The rooms are nice, the balconies are good, food is good, drink is better, staff are all helpful and are there to make your holiday the best you cud imagine! Just enjoy and dont worry about what some people have said! Have a great time!
Only 4 weeks to go now!! 4 weeks today and we'll be off to Malia. Cant wait! Could anyone tell me any information on money over there? is it expensive? Ive heard its like buy 1 get 8 free (drinks) or something like that! Is this true?
