Hi all
I am thinking of booking a holiday direct with a hotel abroad with a credit or credit card. They deal in Euros, will they charge a fee for converting my money into their's or does anyone know a better way of paying.
This is my first DIY holiday.
Regards
Dawn
The credit card company charge the fee.
I agree with Robbyw - see if you can pre-book the hotel with a booking agency - it can often work out a lot cheaper.
I contacted a hotel in Mallorca direct and they wanted £50 per night for a room but booking it through Winter Sunshine it was only £28 per night - nothing different same hotel, same room - but a saving of £154 for a week!!!
Shop around you will save a lot of money.

As previous posters say, check Winter Sunshine you will perhaps find it is cheaper there than directly with Sol/Melia although they say that is not.
It appears hard work to take up their guarantee. Well worth looking
