Any comments on this place? Can you walk into town or whatever for resturants/mini-market etc?
Know the Island well but not this area, fancied a change.
Firstly, the resort is right in the town with a number of pretty good restaurants - I recommend the La Romantica. There is also a very good restaurant behind the hotel next door to the Pearly Grey. It is not easy to find - go to the left of the hotel and follow the steps to the bottom. Don't give up it will be worth the effort. The restaurant is set in the side of the cliff with big panoramic glass windows. The Garlic Prawns and Garlic Mushrooms are to die for.
There are other reasonable restaurants including Chinese, Indian & Beckhams (general food).
There are a couple of good supermarkets a short walk from the resort. Take I.D. if you pay by credit card.
Regarding the Pearly Grey - it really depends on the apartment you get. Some of the new ones that are set into the side of the cliff at the front are great. The apartments in the main block leave a bit to be desired.
The location is probably the best in Tenerife - right on the side of the cliff overlooking the ocean.
Good luck
