We usually treat ourselves in the Canaries but when we were in Tenerife last Easter we found most fragrances were not all that cheap and with the falling exchange rate (€1.20 at the time) they weren't all that much of a bargain - probably even less of a bargain now with exchange rates hovering around €1.05-€1.10.
I usually find the best bargains are when they do gift sets (eg. 50ml fragrance + shower gel/body lotion) for the same price as just 30ml fragrance back home, but there wasn't as many of these around last time. We're off to Fuerteventura in 2 weeks so I will definitely have a look in the perfume shops but I'm not expecting to buy much.
We got charged 3kg excess baggage coming home from Tenerife last year and we had only bought a few very small items, and we had left all our used toiletries and suncreams behind at the hotel so that we wouldn't get charged

we were in Fuerteventura at the end of last year and the the prices were not far off the UK that was with the exchange at 1.18 so we are not expecting much of value in April

We went to Gran Canaria, Tenerife and Lanzarotte last November, on a cruise, not separate holidays, and found the prices either the same or more expensive that here.

We were looking for bargains this year, but, as others have said, due to the exchange rate, it wasn't really worth it. Didn't seem much difference in price. Shame really.
