I'm off to Menorca next month for the first time. Could anyone suggest any good phrasebook/s?
If it wasn't for the girlfriend I would have got a normal Spanish one but she has told me that they have a different dialect (Catalan).
Any advice will be appreciated.
Cheers
Mark
Don't worry about bringing a Catalan Phrase Book. Everyone you deal with will understand normal Spanish.
Have to agree you won't need a book
Agreed - they might be Catalan but if you don't speak Spanish it's not worth trying to be too clever. Also they have a version of Catalan called MenorquÃÂÂÂn! There are a few simple phrases you can use such as "per favor" instead of "Por favor" and "Bon dia" instead of "Buenos dias".
