Prices double in some hotels on the 1st November as it's the dry season.
I don't know your budget but if you can stretch to the Busakorn wing at the Holiday Inn in Patong you won't be disappointed. It's a quiet oasis in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Patong and within walking distance to many restaurants and bars.
The hotel is FULL of repeat guests so that must tell you something about the hotel in general.

If you want a quiet resort in Phuket I can recommend the Naithonburi at Nai Thon...but when I say quiet I mean quiet...nothing much happening after 9.30pm(and not much before that in all honesty).

We stayed at this hotel in July a few years back which was obviously out of season. I think it worked out about £25 per night, which we felt was a bargain for the standard of accommodation and warmth of welcome.

Breakfast was included also and was buffet style and very nice. It was between Kata and Karon beaches with plenty of restaurants and bars not far away (more towards Kata to be honest).

We were on a 9 month trip so were on a budget. I don't doubt there are even better and classier places but we felt it was one the best bargains we got in the entire 9 months and would happily return again.
