If you are a plane freak then PdB is heaven!
First time we ever went it was low season. Each morning I would watch from the balcony as this ancient DC3 wheezed it's way into the airport. Later I discovered it was a daily delivery of fruit and veg! Then the big boys would start to come in. We would walk down the beach and stand directly under the glide path. The planes were so low their wash would blow sand off the beach. The real biggies (Jumbos and DC10s) would creat eddies that would produce waterspouts off the sea!
Luckily most of the time the planes land over PdB and so the engines are throttled back. Occasionally the wind direction means they take off over PdB then it can be noisy.
If you are a plane freak then PdB is heaven!
You haven't spotted planes properly till you've stayed in Caleta de Fuste in Fuerteventura, On a good day you can tell if the cabin dollie's are well prepared
