we stayed at lagotel last year and a doubt if it has changed much .the mozzies were there in the evenings and we got bitten several times.its because its by a lake.

We have stayed in Play de Muro a couple of times. The mossies are about, but I found insect reppellent did the trick. They love me, hubby and kids weren't bitten at all. As regards eating out, we liked Las Delicias, look for the pink panther sign. Really great food and nice staff. Oasis, food not wonderful, but they have live acts every night. Restaurante Boy, by the maze is also worth a mention. Have a great time. We are off to C'an Picafort in 10 days - cant wait - although the weather is not looking too great!!

Thanks for the recommendations of places to eat,we are going half board,it was cheaper then self catering, but I still would like to eat out on a couple of nights. Can picafort was the first place I stayed,the Africamar apartments cheap and cheerful but loved every minute of it.

Try Neuvo Rancho , we have been going there on and off for the last 8 years. Great quality and choice of food.
From your hotel head towards the beach , turn left at the junction by Burger King , go to the next junction and it should be just opposite you .
As for the mozzies , never had too much of a problem but we did smother the kids in Autan before we went out for the evening just in case.
I'll be back in Alcudia in 5 weeks , can't wait !
