Please can anyone help I am trying to find a holiday for my parents in Gran Canaria. They are after somewhere that is quite quiet and by the beach, self catering. Good scenery and nice places to eat but not too much going on.

Playa Taurtio has what your looking for. I stayed in the Taurito Princess when it was a Thomson Platinum (now and A.I) and its right on the beach with some nice restaurants around. Its only round the corner from Puerto Rico too so its easily reached by a taxi.
