We have just come back from Tunisia and we had our camera pinched at Milan airport so we are all very upset as we have no photos to show for our stay.
Whilst there we visited the desert and Hamamet and went on the pirate boat so if anyone has any photos they could email us I would be very grateful.
Thank you
I must say i would hate that to happen to me. there are plenty of pictures all over the internet for those places but it will never be the same as having your own.

Did you go the Sunbeach resort Borj Cedria? I saw a posting from you a few weeks back asking had anyone been.
What was it like as we're going next Sun,just for a week also what has the weather been like Lately?
Any comments would be great
Doreen
I felt the resort was just right there was activities to do if you wanted I enjoyed the aqua aerobics and the massage at the relax centre and there was entertainment on a night.
The animation team were fantastic but didnt understand much english so conversations with them was limited.
Most people went to the beach through the day so the poolside was quiet which we found great.
We found it a perfect place to relax and you have th eoption to visit Tunis, Carthage and Hamamnet if you choose to get away from the resort
The weather was great when we went it was at least 38degrees and even when it went overcast you could still tan and it was warm.
When you go could you send me some of your photos please and if you could take a picture of a man called Heikal who was the kids club man for my children I would be very grateful as you have read we had our camera pinched.
I am sure you will enjoy it and the cake display is to die for so much choice.
Tracey
Thanks for the quick reply,it sounds great justwhat we're looking for, only the youngest child is coming with us[he's 12] so the activities look brilliant.
What extras did you have to pay for that aren't included?
No problem in sending youpictures when I get back, sorry about your camera, some people are right B!!!!!!!!
Thanks again
Doreen
The motor sports are extra which we didnt pay for as we didnt do but there are some free sports.
We spent most of our time playing tennis etc. The kids club man Heikal also does football and basketball etc for the older ones or there is water volleyball or beach voleyball aswell as archery there is quite a lot to do.
Thanks for the offer of the photos.
The fruit and veg is gorgeous too all fresh and loads of it.
I don't know whether you will get this repeated but I'm not good on the comnputer so it's hit &miss!!!!!!!!!!
By the way i think I deleted my last message See what i mean no good w
ith computers!!!!!!!!!!!!
Like I said before definately send photos, no problem whatsoever.
Sorry to be a pain but what sort of food is it? Not chips more chips & more,is it?
We would like to try local food [last time there 16rs ago],also while I think on do they have3 kayaking as my 12 yr old is well into it,also who did you book with?
I booked on teletext,i thought it was a reasonable price .The invoice came back as Med Hotels.
Last year we went to Sa coma on a telext holiday, the best holiday & so cheap.
You must be fed up by now of all the questions
Doreen
PS you'll probably hear again Hope it's no problem
One more thing every AI we've been before has let you take drinks up to your room at ni9ght, Is that the same there?
If not can you buy a bottle of wine & beer just to take up?
The more you say,the more I'm looking forward to it, it just shows you don't listen to everyones opinions!!!!!!!!!!!!
Last year we were panicking ,we booked on teletext to majorca to the Gran Playa in Sa Coma which had had some terriblr reviews but I can honestly say it was a really ,really good holiday.
At the end of the day some people are never happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Speak to you soon
Doreen
I will try and remember all your questions LOL
We booked with Thomas Cook and it came through as Medhotels just like yours. The medhotels rep there is very good too and very friendly.
The food well there is so much choice.
There is a huge salad bar for your starters or a soup bar.
The food is kalb meat (not sure what that is but nice) pork, chicken and always fresh fish, there is always rice and pasta as well as some sort of potato, veg too.
There is a bread bar and they have a Tunisian night which is all your cous cous etc and they have an Italian night they also have a specialities restaurant where there is a Grill or Italian you are also allowed to use The Carribeans worlds restaurant where they have a Mexican, Chinese or Indian ( ask the rep about that though as you are only allowed to use theirs so many times we didnt bother)
There wasnt chips as they have a snack bar where yyou can get chips or pizza during the day.
Desserts there is just so much to choose from ranging from cream cakes to pastries, to mousses to ice cream and fruits.
Breakfast has a lot of choice too ranging from eggs to pamcakes, cereals, french pastries you name it, it is there.
Drinks yes you can take them up to your room on a night but I think a few people tended to buy the bottled beer to take up. If you want spirits it is probably better to buy them duty free as there isnt a huge choice but as I am not a drinker I cant say exactly what there was.
Kayaking I dont know what that is I am afraid.
For a cheap holiday there is a lot on offer as I read on one review that their AI didnt include the pizzas at the snack bar
Also feel free to ask anymore questions wish I had had someone to ask.
Yes I know what you mean about people not beiung happy our rep was telling us someone was moaning as they couldnt get an English breakfast?????? You are abroad for goodness sake
Tracey
Some people are never happy, sounds fantastic to me,let you know everything when I get back ,won't forget the photos.
Roll on next sunday
Info great
Can you explain why there are no reviews on this hotel or resort!!!!!!!!!!!
We can't be the first to ever go there or are we ?
Pity we wern't there at the same time, it would have4 been great!
live in Liverpool. Where do you Live?
Speak to you soon
Doreen
Only me again but where did you flyfrom? W're flying from manchester, also how long did it take you to go through passport control,I've heard it can take up to 2hrs nightmare!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
By now you must be sick of me
Doreen
I found a few reviews on Trip advisor and they started off bad but the most recent ones have been good.
There isnt any on this site and when I finish all my washing I will post a post about it on the hotel reviews.
I am from Blackpool and yes I wish we had gone at the same time as when I went some of the British were a bit snobby and werent up saying hello never mind having a laugh.
We flew from Manchester too I presume by that you are flying to Tunis.
What time is your flight?
We flew at 4.15 so arrived at Tunis at about 11 so we flew through passport control. I think it depends on the police as it took longer to get out of the airport on the way back as thye asked loads of questions then.
Are you stopping off at Milan if so watch your back thats where we were robbed and since coming back I have read a lot of bad things about Milan airport.
If you are flying to Tunis then the transfer to the hotel is very short only about half an hour.
I wish I was going back out theremy daughter and I were very sad to be leaving
Speak soon
Tracey
Would have got back sooner but being Sun the kids are home and getting on the computer is a case of grab it when you can!!!!!!!!
We'reflying to Monastir not Tunis so although the flight time is shorter, the transfer is 21/2hrs.When we booked we were only offered the Monastir flight!!
We fly at 19.10 next Sun[so this time next week I'llbe on the way to the airport Yes---------] land at 23.20 so hopefully we should be in the hotel by 3am or so!! Wth abit of luck******.
While I think on are ice creams included ?
Hubby just come in and asked me to ask if you want any particular shots of the hotel etc and he'll do his best to get them for you.
Speak to you soon
Doreen
I have finally caught up on all my washing and ironing
Wish we had flown to Monastair now and then we wouldnt have had our stuff nicked at Milan
There are ice creams at meal times but not available any other time although there are two shops that sell them but at Uk prices.
Also if you buy a bottle of water from the shop you can get it refilled at the bar as often as you like.
Any shots of the hotel will do I mainly want one of the animation team and especially of Heikal (kids club) as my children loved him and really miss him.
Wish I was flying out with you on sunday.
Tracey
Sorry not to have got back sooner but trying toget myself organised, somehow not managing it very well!!!!! Jim[hubby] bought a new camera recently and hes been practising how to send photos over the internet for you when we get back. By the way don,t forget to let us have your Email address so we can send them.
One more question where are the safety deposit boxes, are they in the room? and how much are they?
Only 4 days to go Can't wait!!!!
Speak soon
Doreen PS Glad the washings all done
But our Jack[12 yr old] has asked me to ask you what the beach and sea are like as he is well into snorkelling.
Cheer
Doreen
The safes are 10.5 dinars for a week as you have to buy the battery from the bank.
Snorkelling I dont know if they do it at the resort but to be honest when we went it wasnt fully open and they didnt have the list of beach activities up. They seem to cater for the 1st June more as that is when all the restaurants and that open and thye were bringing in more animation staff just before we left.
If they dont do it there I think they may do it at Hamenmet but not 100% sure
Hope you get all your organising done we aRE VERY MUCH LAST MINUTE IN our house too
Tracey x
I've never come across a safety deposit box that uses a battery. How does itwork? Is it in your room?
Jack says he doesn't mind snorkelling in the pool or sea!!!!
Is the beach nice itself, clean etc ?
Anyway one more trip to Superdrug and I think I'm finished!!!!
Speak soon
Doreen
The safe has a digtal keypad so the battery is for that and it is a 9v battery so not sure if you would want to take one as its cheaper than paying 10.5 dinars as they charge that for the week and our safe was already in the room (we got stung we had to pay 22 dinars as we were there for 2 weeks)
The beach is lovely and clean( where the resorts are) they do a great job and its only us tourists that litter the place and the sea was lovely too a deep blue on most days.
Not long now
Tracey
ps did you get my PM
