Hi beermat
When we went in 2003 my then 15yr old went on dragon khan on his own cos i dont like the steel coasters, I went on the pepsi max in blackpool twice in one day and had the worse headache and pains in my neck EVER! So i dont really do the steel ones anymore.
I am now 35 and i think I am alittle frightened of the big rides because when i hit 30 i actually relised that i am alot less invincible than i was at 17
My hubby is 54 and never gets on anything but this year i have told the kids to ask him and he says "We'll see" which we all know that is grown up talk for NO
Kerrie
Just ordered my 14 day pass to port adventura ( hope i have done everything right) it says they will be here within 14 days. I ordered them with 365 tickets and got them for £ 203 (3 A and 1 Ch) its the cheapest i could find. It didnt say anything about costa caribe but maybe someone on here might know if you get anything off for the waterpark.
Seems like the on-line prices have gone up this year - we paid £140 for 2 adult + 2 child 14 day passes last summer from attractionticketsdirect, compared to £190 on the gate, and £160 in 2006.
Last year those tickets got us a 20% discount for Costa Caribe. They're supposed to mark the tickets so that you only get the discount once, however they didn't and we were able to use them again.
To answer one of your previous posts, we found that the shows were easier to get into during the day. We also worked out thet the queues for the big rides at the top of the park all get much shorter after 10.30pm as most people start going back down to the lake for the fireworks. We were able to get off Stampida, run round and get straight back on with hardly any waiting.

But I'm not sure what time the park shuts when Kerrie is going. Will is still be late as in July and Aug?

I'm not sure when the park closes earlier in the year (we've only been in july), and I can't seem to find the opening times on the PA website. Whenever it is, I'd guess that a lot of people will be heading back to the lake in the last hour, assuming they do the fireworks of course.
I thought i got a good deal ( watch the prices drop cos i am to am like a big kid and just cant wait ) When we went in 2003 it was about £160 for 3 adults and 2 kids for 14 days for the price of 3 with keith prowse ( so the TA told us) that was our first hols abroad so we didnt have a clue
How come when the kids are no longer ten they are classed as a adult that annoyes me soooooooooooo much
Kerrie
I'm 32 and i only started going on coasters five years ago, after my girlfriend introduced me to them.
I find the more i go on the more intense ones i want to try.
That's why we have booked to go to New york next year so we can go on "Kingda ka" at Six flags New Jersey.
Have a look here ( youtube.com/watch?v=Q2cdqDMcUW0&NR=1 )
On the subject of Dragon Khan, if you found Pepsi Max gave you a headache maybe best to give this ride a miss.
It's quite an old design, rattles your head about a bit, lots of folk we were with had sore heads for hours after it.
Never let me post the url but it's on You tube.
We cant link to You Tube on here. It's interesting what you say about Khan, my son age 12 at the time, also made your last comment (I don't do coaster, too old now) he said it really hurt his head and stopped enjoying it. Perhaps it might be one just to do once rather than running around and keep getting back on Kerrie.
I didn't like the sound of it at all when he told me. But then I am a worrier.

Is all i have to say about that ride. I am going to show my son that when he gets in from school. Its his 11th birthday tomorrow and whats the bet he will want to go to New York for his 12th.
I thought it was going to be the ride on top of the sky scraper (where is that one again) only know its in the US ( wouldnt get me on either for a big clock )
Kerrie
Think the one you probably mean is Big shot or Insanity, all three look good.

Just been informed there used to be a small coaster up there as well but it's been removed because it always broke down.
One of our party felt that he had concussion or something similar after being on Dragon Khan, he lost half the day and would'nt go on again. I thought he was being a woose (me that would love to go on Rollercoasters but feels sick the minute they move let alone whirl and go upside down ) or was exaggerating but after reading this he probably wasn't.
I'm sure it's OK to go on once or twice. But my kids were running around and going on it time and time again. You can't normally do this because of queues but if you hit the park at a quiet time or when the fireworks are on, for a lot of folk it's too good an opportunity to miss.

Dragon Khan is fantastic, have been on it about 7 or 8 times and never really felt that it hurts, kind of the last thing you are thinking about to be honest. Well worth the try even if you don't like it!
Been to Port Aventura twice. First time was 4 years past in October and apart from the weekends the park was lovely and quiet and there was very little queueing times. Went October past and could not believe how busy the park was all of the time, obviously become alot more popular. Must be like that all through the summer too. We got quite good at judging the quieter times in the end, kids thought it was quite a novelty to be able to get of and run round to the front again and get on and sometimes not even have to get off just signal that they wanted to stay on. Love watching Dragon Khan and Furious Baco but as already said my stomach can't take it much to my dismay.

We are thinking of going to the hotel port aventura for 11 nights 26th sept does anyone know if the water park will be open here then and also what is the weather like this time of year? Does the Halloween festival run right through October and are they out at day or just night as my little girl is terrified of white rabbits (in suits) let alone anything like that. Any help much appreciated.
Many thanks

I'm pretty sure last year that from 1st October only the indoor pool was open at the water park. If so, I would certainly go in your first few days as the indoor area would not keep you amused for long.
Halloween celebrations are usually for all of October.
Hopefully someone else will be along to help with your other questions.
The Halloween stuff goes on mainly at night time. There are a few characters going about during the day but the majority is later on at night. They are good and if you signal that your wee one is scared they will move on, the same with Betty, Popeye, Shrek etc. You can pick up leaflets that tell you whats going on and where, and whether it's mildly scary, more scary or absolutely terrifying Stay away from the Haunted House if you have a nervous nature. The outside part of Caribe waterpark is not open in October just the indoor bit and that gets boring after a while, but the Aquapolis is open until about the middle of October. The weather can be a bit mixed at this time of year and there is more chance of rain. We were there last October and the weather was fantastic for the whole two weeks. We used the indoor pool at Caribe waterpark to get the kids out of the sun for a while! Went 4 years ago at the same time and had rain for most of the holiday but it was warm when it was'nt raining. It's the chance you take when on holiday, sunshine is not guaranteed at any time of the year. If you're staying at any of the park hotels the staff tend to dress up for halloween to, nothing to drastic but it might scare a wee child.
