Hi,
I am looking at renting an apartment in Porto De Mos in August and have been in contact with the owners they have told me that it is a 15minute walk to the arch at Lagos town centre. I don't know the name of the apartment complex but know that it is a small development with a pool and is next door to "an olympic size pool" that can be used. I have no reason not to believe that the walk is 15minute but would like an independant view I will have a car so it is only the walk to the town in the evening for a meal/drink that I have any concern about I am happy to drive to shops/beach etc.
Thanks in advance for any help
Update if it helps - apartment complex is "Villa Ancora" next to "motel ancora" hotel. Anyone know the location and how long the walk to Lagos town centre is?
There's a map showing the position of the Ancora Hotel here (if it works if not click on hotel map)
I would say that's a bit more than 15 minutes walk, especially on the way back as it is uphill part of the way.
If it helps there is a bus every half hour, every day, between Porto de Mos and the city centre until around midnight during July and August

might save your feet!
Parking in the centre of Lagos is just about impossible anyway until and if ever they finish the 900 place underground car park on the 'Esplanade'
Many thanks for the replies - always amazes me how fast holiday property owners can walk Have ended up playing safe and getting somewhere a bit more central
HI its a shame you took to play it safe the appartments are first class and the walk to town is 10mins max and i am no sprinter the views are fantastic pools great for kids and adults alike and the beach is .9of a klm with two fantastic bar restaurants town is 1.2 klm i drove both distances yesterday.the new cascade resort which is next door is due to open in august but will not be fully open untill june 11 where there is going to be 2 restaurants and a small shoping complex also beautifull walks to the lighthouse and a further bar this is a top holiday destination dont be put off i promise you these appartments are idealy situated.
Methinks Craigholt is an employee as it certainly takes me more than 25 mins to walk
