Hey, Glynis,
I'm here after arriving back to gale force winds yesterday!!! I was freezing.

The weather was great although we had a couple of mornings with a wee shower but most of the time it was really hot.

Had a wonderful time and met up with lots of old friends and met some new ones too....... :D

Unusually for Bill, he said that he has never known 2 weeks to fly past so quickly. Now it's a long haul to wait till 30th January for our next visit...... :(

When are you next over?

update on the figure of the chicken on the round about at Guia. just back yesterday and the arrival is very close, the problem has been the round about is on the main estreada en125 and is owned by the main portuguese junta and not the town council, so very stringent safety elements have had to be complied with such as if a crash occurs the figure will not cause injury. it will arrive in the next 2 weeks and will be made of fibre glass and will consist of the junta;s emblem together with a chicken on one side to signify Guia as the self acclaimed capital of chicken piri-piri and a bottle of wine on the other to signify Guia;s acheivements in the wine producing market place thanks in the main to Cliff Richard;s farm

Wonder who owns the Globe roundabout in Albufeira then, cos I wouldn't want to hit that load of concrete, obviously not the main Portuguese junta.

I wonder what the Dolphins are made of, just down the road from me? Next time they turn the water off, I shall go and prod one!

I shall watch out for the chicken next time I am on the bus out in Guia.

Oh Cubby, that would make a great photo for a caption competition! :rofl :rofl :rofl

I'm fairly certain that the Liga Portuguesa dos Direitos do Animal will regard dolphin prodding as an indictable offence even if carried out in the interests of road safety! :rofl
Reply
hi again Cubby, you havn't been prodding around the marina area have you ?
because when we were sat at the kiosk having a bacardi and coke or two :cheers as one does, we noticed that the green concrete landscaping of the cliffs had all collapsed onto the road below :whoops .one has to be extra careful where one goes a prodding :rofl
