thanks!
By the way, Faro is not a holiday resort. It is 5 miles from the beach despite what it might look like on a map!
You should get a good deal for a stay here in Albufeira even if it is half-term.
Many killed and injured in Madeira flash floods and mudslides:
booked to go to lagos for 2 weeks end of july into august, bit worried it will be too hot?? whats the temps like in high summer, and will there be a breeze round lagos....
Yep, it'll be hot - high 20's to mid 30's but there's normally an offshore breeze for which you'll be grateful; the further west you go on the Algarve, the stronger the breeze- take care in the sun as the breeze sometimes masks the heat of the sun and it's easy to burn.
high 20,s to mid 30,s i can cope with that but no more. that off shore breeze may be a blessing.
You can easily burn here in much lower temperatures because of the wind making it feel OK. Just wait until the morning.
I hope it's going to be a good summer. We are still suffering the wettest and most dismal winter in anyone's memory. We have already had more than the average ANNUAL total rainfall and it is still raining. I have gone to Lisbon, booked a month ago to try to escape, and it's raining here as well.
I hope that means there will be none left.
What will weather be like in Algarve last week of september?
Average daytime temperatures around 70 - 75F, that's 20 - 23C, but often much hotter. At night down to maybe as low as 60, or 15C. Not so bad. We have had rain around that time in past years, as we get three months of hot and dry weather from about now and it is around the end of September, start of October when the weather 'breaks' and summer's over
Please can someone keep me upto date with the weather in Praia de luz over the next few days as we fly out on the 16th October. Thanks, bob
Thanks for that. I'll be checking it daily! Cheers.
Looking at the webcam today it looks a bit rough in Praia de luz area! Hope it all clears for next sat! Fingers crossed
It's not too keen here in Albufeira either. Not actually raining but very cloudy and very windy. Looks like the weekend will be like this then better and brighter weather from Monday onwards. It's not cold, currently 21C/71F.
Friday night onwards into Saturday was horrible, chucking it down half the time. Has rained on and off since lunchtime Sunday and more on the way. Should be brighter and drier from later Monday onwards.
What is the weather like in the Algarve beginning of March?
yet. Anyone on the ground there comment.
I always look at the temperature as reported for Faro and I have to say that they haven't exactly been very good for the last month. I usually stay in Lagos which if anything will be slightly cooler than Faro and I also realise that newspaper quoted temperatures are shade at midday, however they don't seem to be very high
http://www.wunderground.com you can put in Lagos, its 25 at the moment, I would be more than happy with that
