hi we are looking to go to the new Holiday Village Red Sea in Sharm El Sheikh. Has anyone got any idea when would be the best time to take 5year old twins?
we were thinking of Oct but looking at the weather it has 8cm rain? i would hate to go & have bad weather.
Thanks
We're going for the first time on 27th september this year to the CSR with 3 kids aged 13, 12 and 6 and next year to the HV on 1st September with my sister, her husband and her kids aged 4 and 6.
I was advised that september is the perfect time to go. I was initially worried about it being too hot for the kids but sometimes the kids cope with the heat far better than the adults do.
Whatever you decide, I'm sure you'll have a great holiday.

Errrr........... where have you been looking ??
check out http://weather.yahoo.com/climo/EGXX0018_c.html this shows the precipitation records averages for the whole year and Sharm comes out as 0.00cm every month
and if it did rain it's an average from your figures of 2.5 MM a day that's around a tenth of an inch
Go on risk it It's a great place to visit
Worry about anything you like regarding Sharm but dont worry about the weather!
we got about 10 drops last year
had to look hard to find the cloud it disappeared in 5 minutes like a geni
the staff were amazed some even said "is that rain ??"

brillant thanks guys must have got it wrong? this is the link i looked at
Well maybe those figures are an average over the whole country. Perhaps there is a good deal of rain on the Mediterranean coast around Alexandria during those months? Or maybe it just confirms my already held opinion of First Choice?
