:D I buy everything off ebay from my holiday bikini to a 3 piece sofa, the list is endless,(and have had many a bargain!) and would be here all day listing my bargains  , would even buy a holiday off ebay, but the dates we wanted to go, no holidays were listed for then  All my sons designer holiday clothes are bought from ebay (for about 1/3 of the price - they would normally cost! - and he knows no different  ), I have bought thomson holiday vouchers in bulk (and saved a couple of hundred quid). Thank god for ebay! Its saved me hundred's( if not thousands) of quid

Me too. Ebay is my favourite online shop. I also won a holiday from Thomson. Guess where my hubbys and kids laptops came from as well. . Karen

Havent done any holiday shopping on Ebay, but recently bought a brand new solid oak TV unit from there and we are really pleased with it, only paid £147 and it really is solid. Its the same as the one in the link.

I don't like taking my expensive jewellery on holidays, I just take costume stuff. I bought a beautiful gold tone watch on e bay yesterday for £5 with free delivery. I've received it this morning and its gorgeous!

hi bellyballyboo! Not much good with this link business, but I've just had alook & there are more for sale. If you type in ladies gold plated watch into the search box on the main page you'll see them. There's one going tonight and afew others in 3 or 4 days. They're priced at £6.99 but they took my best offer of £5. Can't be bad. I'll be happy if it just lasts me the fortnight. :D

I buy Gatineau, Decleor, Molton Brown, OPI Nail Envy and other cosmetics from eBay at considerably lower prices than in the shops or from QVC. I haven't as yet had any real problems. I have even bought stuff from Canada and Hong Kong, the products from Canada took only 6 days to get here.

has anyone ever actually bought a holiday?
Hubby suggested we look for an October bargain but I have to admit I'm skeptical about the whole thing and not sure how it would work - are they holidays from people who can't go anymore or from agents??

:D Hi puddleduck - There are some holidays which people have booked, and cannot go (For whatever reason), - and they usually include the seller paying for the name change on ticket, when the holiday has been won.

Most of the holidays though are auctioned off by thomson's. I Have a friend who won a holiday on ebay (Through thomsons), she got it for a really cheap price (although you do have to pay £20 per person booking fee - so keep this in mind when bidding!)

Hi, We have bought over 100 items off e-bay, including every computer we have had.
Our daughter bought a holiday off a private seller and it was fine. She had a phone number to contact them, and the travel agent, to sort out the name changes. The whole family of 4 went AI to Marmaris for 2 weeks for about £1000.
Just use a little common sense when buying, you can usually tell if something is "iffy".
