You will make a good choice in going to Marmaris in my opinion although all the resorts have their plus points and you find everyone on here has their favourates. Marmaris, as with all the other resorts isn't the cheap holiday it used to be. It is however very good value for money compaired to some of the Med resorts. As for restaurants you will be spoiled for choice from the cheap and cheerfull to the sophisticated and expensive. You will be able to eat very well at a reasonable price. You will find that everywhere in Turkey, not just Marmaris, is child friendly, it seems to be in their nature and you will not have a problem in any restaurant. You will find many of the restaurants are extensions of the bars if you follow my meaning and they will be just as happy for you to take a drink in their bar. Much of the entertainment will be found here.

we have usually gone to spain, canaries etc, then a few years ago our holiday got cancelled at short notice and we ended up in turkey-bodrum.

it really opened our eyes, the place was spotless, the turks are so so friendly and nothing is too much trouble,

we are trying icmeler this year, and just cant wait, we will be there in 5 weeks.

its not everyones cup of tea, its either love it or hate it i think, but most people seem to love it.....

Hi. We got back from marmaris last week and had a great time. It was our 6th time in marmaris and we have got two children. The staff in all the bars and restaurants made us very welcome. There are many to choose from, encouraging you in with free playstation or pool table for the kids. Our favourite restaurant this year was Janas and the entertainment from the bar staff really made great nights for my 10 year old. I'm sure once you have tried Turkey you will be back again and again

Marmaris is expensive in Turkish terms only, But it is far cheaper than everywhere else in Europe with only Bulgaria being cheaper, Yes children will be welcomed in all Bar/Restauraunts, remember here you have a vast choice and they are everywhere, Prices vary considerably from place to place, take my tip here when out walking check the prices of the restauraunts you will see the prices everywhere displayed on boards, Take a trip on the Dolmeus to Icmeler where you will find prices more reasonable to your pocket.
