You would need to check with the individual insurance companies, but most will have it as Europe.
That is a relief as we leave for Baltic cruise this week, and did not even think of St P as potentially not covered in Europe! Fingers crossed our insurance covers it.
Don't cross your fingers hamrag! Check your policy as it should list the countries covered. Too important to be left to chance.
Your policy for Europe should be OK but as I always have annual cover and Worldwide as well as USA.
It won't be any bother to check and you do need a Visa if you are going off alone rather than on organised trips.
Just be careful as it is not as safe as it was when I visited about 9 years ago.
Good luck and Bon Voyage.

hi anyone been on fred olsen cruises to baltic?
We are thinking of taking a cruise with Thomsons next year, either around the Baltic or to Norway. We'd like to take our two teenage children but are worried that there will be very few other families on board. Has anyone any experience of these cruises? Are families in the minority?
Having said that we were on the QM2 and Celebrity Century. Thomson is certainly more family orientated, but that is the position from our experience.
Thanks for that. We are now thinking of a Baltic cruise on the MSC Armonia as uner 18s travel free. I've read mixed reports about this ship so any information will be greatfully received!
Several of our members sailed on the MSC Armonia as part of the Daily Express Free Cruise Offer so we have have a few reviews which you can read by clicking Cruise Reviews at the top of the page.
MSC seems a no no. Most of the reports I've heard or read say it's a lovely ship but spoilt by the smoking policy. Apart from the dining rooms, you can smoke anywhere and the thought of spending 10 days on a smoke filled ship doesn't do a lot for me, I'm afraid!
Just booked "Baltic Capitals" with Thomsons departing 5th August 2008. Only 11 months to go!
