We have been to Majorca twice in October and been lucky enough to have brilliant weather. Last October the temperatures were in the middle to late 20s the whole two weeks we were there and even reached the early 30s on some days. However, it is abit of a gamble at this time of year and we have been to mainland Spain and had almost 2 weeks of rain but then that can happen at any time of the year. I must add though that even the rain is warm, not like in this country, especially over the last few days!
To top it all the hotel insisted on leaving the hotel windows and doors open while storm raged outside,we actually watched the entertainment shivering.
But we are not going to let that bad experience put us off and will be returning to majorca on the 30th september this year.
We also went to majorca to sillot in july 2001 and i remember going on a bus trip freezing cold and the rain fell on our heads on the boat trip from porto christo, were dripped on in the damp caves and the bus was freezing, but out of that misery came good memories as that evening when the resort temperatures became more pleasant i proposed to my wife at the foot of a palm tree outside the punta amer hotel ,and we celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary this year.
Bottom line we have had bad weather no matter what time of year we have gone on holiday, and some incredibly hot and sunny temperatures too.
