We are thinking of booking a one week holiday end of August and have two boys aged 9 and 3. Have just come back from Turkey, boys absolutely loved it there with waterslides etc., but think it may be too hot to return in August, so decided to go on a nice short flight possibly to Menorca or somewhere similar. Have been to cala n bosch about 6 years ago, liked it but would like to try somewhere different. It seems that Cala n Forcat is quite lively for Minorca and have found some apartments called Vista Picas that have really good reviews. I know Minorca is really child friendly but am worried that the 9 yr old may be a bit too big, if it is more geared up towards toddlers with bouncy castles, play areas etc. (He would go on them at home, but maybe a bit conscious if he was one of the oldest ones!) Would also have liked a beach, but know you cant have everything! Am wondering if we would be better going to Majorca, would really appreciate any advice!
