The people, those happy smiling faces oh and the sunshine, really miss that !!!!
looking at the weather outside now, I miss the weather most.
I have to agree, it is the weather. i would love to be able to wear summer clothes again and not having an umbrella permanently stuck in my hand.
garlic cheese nan
The people (above all the people), the total relaxation you only get on a beach in Goa, the sunshine (cos when are we ever going to get any?), the food everything that is Goa which you can't describe just need to experience.
Jumbo Prawns - everytime i see that M&S advert with the woman seductively talking about the ''King Prawns, soaked in a lime and garlic sauce''' I think, no love they
Like it elliebeeeverytime i see that M&S advert with the woman seductively talking about the ''King Prawns, soaked in a lime and garlic sauce''' I think, no love they aint king prawns!!!
Being there roll on 11 November
The weather, where has our summer gone??!!!
not very original but like eveyone else the sunshine, beer at 50p a pint, prawn masala at the river view cavelossim and the catch of the day at Jocons
I miss it all
Like Holmes just sitting at the River View with a working fishing port one way, an amazing river scene the other, a couple of Goan's diving for oyster's from their dugout canoe, egrets, kites, red and green shanks, an osprey if you are lucky and of course kingfishers diving for there lunch all in the background, a cold beer and just chilling with Mrs and Jnr Jock as we wait for the great food to be served
5 bunches of coriander for 30p - uk a poundfor 2
same with spinach - can't understand why it is pound for a bag of spinach
when it grows wild in my dads garden in UK but they charge a quid for a blown up bag
But still counting the days to October - back in my favourite place in the world.
I can - and do - go all over the world but Goa will still be my favourite.
at river view watching the kingfishers the daily life on the river and the people passing by on bettys boat trip if they are going up river they wave smiling happily and on the way back down river they look a bit the worse for wear due to the alcohol but still very very happy
It is the wonderfull aroma of Goa that I miss, especially as the sun goes down, the half light, the kings beer, and the wonderfull aromas are worth all the hassle with the visas
Andy misses the wonderfull food and the warm welcome jubileepat and andy
I miss sitting at the beach shack after the sun has gone down with a long tall drink in my hand, wiggling my toes in the sand, listening to the gentle lapping of the waves as they meet the shore and looking out at all the twinkling lights of the shacks along the shoreline and the boats out at sea. This is when I feel the most relaxed and think "what a life"!
