The Port de Alcudia is about 10 minutes walk from the Bellevue area and around 15 if you take the beach walk into the port centre. The beach is brilliant, one of the island's best - shallow water, wide and sandy. Immediately close to you are a couple of British bars - Foxes is very popular - and a couple of good grill places (Dos Pins and Los Tamarindos). Otherwise, it's a bit more of a walk, but not too bad.

No, not stayed there, but know it. Bellevue is the name of the large hotel along the Avenue Pedro Mas y Reus. The area is actually called Ciudad Blanca but is commonly called the Bellevue area after the hotel.
The port area itself is, strictly speaking, the centre of the Puerto Alcudia, but the Bellevue area is often referred to as being the centre for the simple reason that the majority of visitors stay there.
The Bellevue area is brasher than the port area - they really are quite different.
