Thanks for your comments. I am still in shock I think. I really cannot believe it.

If I think back to last year when I was so disappointed because I couldn't wear my brown cropped trousers cause they were too tight. I cant wear them again this year but for the opposite reason, they wont stay up :D. I am soooo glad that I started dieting properly. Its the best thing I have done in ages and I do feel good (even got a bikini and that is something I didn't think I would do again :) ).

Hello :wave
Its very lonely in here this week. Am I the only one who hasnt done the holiday thing yet :). Oh well, only 42 days to go till :fly and :sun.

Didnt think that I should be too greedy this week and give others a chance to catch up with me . So, ive only lost ½lb this week. Still better off than on and I am definitely not moaning about it. :gluck all.

Hope everyone is well.

Hi
Have not had time to get on site in the last few days, busy weekend and we have got workman in at the moment - loads of clearing up to do!!!! :(
Well I am in shock - just come back from SW and lost 2.5lb and I got 'slimmer of the week award' :P
I am elated. If I can lose 3.5 in the next 10 days I will reach 1 stone before my hols  I did set out to lose more but had some weight gains but still very happy
Keep up the good work everyone, enjoy the hols.

After sticking at the same weight for a couple of weeks and one weight gain I have lost another 2lb this week, I am really pleased as I fly out on Tuesday-only another 5 days to diet :) Then it is food food food for a fortnight and then straight back on the diet when I come back, hopefully I wont put to much on as we plan to do a lot of walking to try and burn up the calories while away. Good luck to everyone else on a diet, a lot of you seem to have done really well

Hi every1. Well, I haven't actually lost much weight (4lbs thru illness in 2 days - being sick - yuk!), but I have been doing gentle exercising at home (step machines, sit ups, JJB Sports inflatable Bean!). In 4 weeks i've trimmed 2" of my waist and 1" off my hips, and my bum has really toned up now, not half as wobbly as it used to be. I would like to try to lose maybe 3-5lbs but if I don't I wont worry about it. If people make nasty comments at my slightly wobbly jelly-belly and thighs, then they're the ones with the problem, not me, as they don't have to look! My fiance says I look really nice and he can see the difference, so that is a big bonus and a great compliment.

Hi Everyone,
When I joined this topic I mentioned that I couldn't get my wedding ring off and I was worried - well yesterday I was at a friends and was twiddling with my ring and it came off :D
Ok my bum is still wobbly and my stomach is not flat but losing weight is paying off :P
Weighed myself this morning and I have reach the weight I was when I came home from holiday last year got 10 days before we go away and I am on a high, hoping for another good week :o

Keep up the good work everyone :P

I am so happy to say I have lost 3 stone 4lbs :glynis
Still a big bird tho, size 14 /16(as opposed to 20/22) and still 5'9"!!
I just want to say thanks to you all for all the support - it has helped so much.
I will be back on here after my hols so you can help me shift another 1stome 3 lbs plus whatever I put on in Turkey ready for next year

Lally. Well done you, and snap :). We are the same size (although im a lot shorter than you at 5ft 4in ) and we both started out the same size. I still have 2lbs to loose before hitting the 3 stone target but Im in size 14s/16s now and boy dont it feel good .

Being a size 14/16 is NORMAL in this day and age. I for one believe that being stick thin is not normal by any stretch and although I would like to loose enough weight to fit into my size 12s, that will be enough for me.

I know that it will make such a difference to my holiday this year. No worrying about the aeroplane seatbelt fitting properly. Wearing clothes brought from a normal shop and not Evans or the like, being confident to run around on the beach with my 3½ year old without worrying that everyone is looking at me and my big wobbly bits (yeah I know, they arent really looking at me but it doesnt stop the thought  ). And the biggie, wearing that elusive bikini. This time last year, I would never in a million years, have dreamt of wearing a bikini, let alone buying one. It may not get an airing, that will be down to how confident I really am on holiday this year but I have brought one so its a step in the right direction.

Have a lovely holiday. You deserve it and show off the new you.

Well done everyone who has lost this week and have good holidays. I still got 4½ weeks  but that still leaves enough time to loose a bit more weight before then :).

Thanks sarah and well done you 8)
I agree that stick thin is not for me - a comfortable size 14 with the occasional size 12 top is enough for me (also I will be 48 in a month or so and lets be realistic, never going to be asked to model for vogue now!!!). I was sooo uncomfortable on the plane last year that it was a huge motivator to get some blubber off. I take great pleasure in Evans and the like now asking - "do you do this in a smaller size!!"
Onwards and downwards - hope you have a great holiday

p.s Wear that bikini with pride , hang it off the balcony, whatever !!

May Day :!: May Day :!: It's weigh day :!:

I have put on 8.5lbs on hols which I would normally be pleased about as generally put nearer a stone on, HOWEVER, I went on holiday 11lb overweight

I feel gross, truly. I have a wedding in 3wks and daren't even try my dress on. We go on holiday again in 10wks. I feel as if I'm fighting a never ending battle. Sorry to moan

Happy hols everyone.

Lally and Sarah,

Well done to you both. What a great achievement.

I am 5'4" tall and am three stone overweight. I look as tall as I am round (if you see what I mean); a size 18/20 and feeling unsexy.

I am going on holiday in December as it is my other half's 50th and I want to lose at least two stones by then. I want to be able to wear a bikini again as I haven't worn one in ages.

I have bought the recent edition of S.W. and will find my S.W. programme. I am determined this time to see it through as each time I start a new health eating programme, something happens and I get back into my old eating habits for comfort.

Don't worry joolz, you are not alone. I'm the same. Haven't put any weight on after my holidays but didn't lose weight before I went either - all my own fault for just not trying hard enough.

Our time will come!

I stayed the same this week, but I am not bothered this is the thinest I have been in 2 years :) I leave tomorrow morning for my holiday and expect to put on a lot of weight, but never mind I will diet when I come back. Joolz it took me 2 years to get in the mood/frame of mind to do it. You will get there, I hope everyone has a good weight loss this week, see you all in a fortnight. :D
