I know there is a hotel not far from the beach, which looked nice, but can't remeber the name of the hotel
El Greco.?
I've just read the reviews and looked at a video made by Thomson. good lord, I wouldn't recognise the El Greco, it was a dump compared to the newly built Presidente ( 1984?), but it looks like the El Greco has been modernised nicely and you just walk out of the hotel down some steps and onto the lovely beach
Cromwell, it sounds like the place hasn't changed one bit in over 20 years apart from a few more bars maybe.
Beautiful place, crystal clear water, safe bathing for kiddies, lovely walks, a snorkellers haven and a million miles away from the image of San Antonio and the clubbing scene..
It was the backdrop for a few of the scenes in the famous 1958 movie "South Pacific" and you can see why they thought it resembled an exotic location.
If you are an adult who wants to chill out in a beautiful place, then Portinax is the place, I think the kids today would be bored (depending on age) so if I was in that situation, then it would have to be one of the major hotels, just to keep the kids amused.
