Hi I have a problem and any suggestions and advice would be gratefully appreciated.
I booked a holiday though Going Places in February for the 31st of July, leaving from Glasgow and going to the Calypso hotel in Benidorm. Travel agent phoned me yesterday to imform me of building work and ask if I wanted to cancel-Isaid no. They then phoned me back nd told me my flight had been cancelled-it was with Monarch, I phoned Monarch and flight had not been cancelled. The 3rd phone call from TA informed me that they would be able to fly me from Edinburgh, and surprise I could still get the Calypso.
Today Going Places have phoned me and told me if I fly from Edinburgh they will pay for one taxi (£120.00) but I will need to pay the other one- therefore I would be out £120. The alternative is that they cancel my contract with airtours and book me with Thomson for the same hotel but it will be half board instead of full board and I will have to pay an. extra £83 what can I do, I am so stressed out that I cant think straight-I feel as if TA is giving me the run around, does anyone know where I stand. Please help me
