Oh no, sounds like a step towards costa del goa :x

we were told about a proposed water park about 3 years ago, by Eric in the Bom Successo and just put it down to rumour as it never materialised. It didn't happen then and I would be most surprised if it happened now.

The water park was already opened when I left Goa at the end of last season - it's a small park situated in the grounds of the time share place, but who knows, maybe they have plans to make it bigger??

No I don't think that's it. I know the Royal Goan timeshare very well. I read a story on the expats web site talking about Baga bridge.

I was under the impression that the bridge was widened to deal with the influx of traffic from the newly proposed highway?? Who knows....it's anyones guess, this is Goa after all!!!

I have to say that I was somewhat surprised at the amount of development taking place in that area when I was there this season. All the way along from the bridge back to Sun Village/Marinha Dourada there is evidence of new roads being made into the hill - obviously going to be lots of avenues in the future. Our friend in Goa who is from Arpora has told us that they plan to develop the hill - a shame, but there's progress for you - it's not only the threat of McDs, and as FNs we can't take advantage!

You are right about the development. I stay at The Royal Goan sometimes (Bought into timeshare at an all time low deal just after 9/11... didn't get fleeced!! hey I'm Scottish and I can barter). Had full use and money back virtually. Hey I'm off topic....

Dorada/Baga main road is getting really busy, used to be so quiet. What I liked about that area is the fact that I could wander about without the traffic pollution and noise. Obviously that's going to increase.

Lets face it, that bridge did need updating

Yes it did, I hated walking through it!

I was told last year that the owner of Marios restaurant [formerly fishermans cove] was opening a water park in Baga.

Just got back....saw water park in grounds of a hotel...not too big or conspicuous...partly hidden by trees.....
Only problem i can see with it is that i think it has been built to accommodate Indians and children...not 17 stone adults (like the vast majority of us !!!)

flipping heck Noggin - you can't call all of them 17 stoners
Your'e brave - it's ok with me cos i'm not far off - but expect a backlash!!
