i have bought her an outfit,for the 31st oct, halloween night,because i read,that the children dress up.
she chose a lovely fairy outfit,because it said,it didn't have to be halloween related.guess another trip,to the shops,are in order,hubby will be pleased

The one thing not to forget if you are in the magic kingdom for your Childs birthday is the birthday button, you can get this free from guest relations in city hall MK,
All the cast members look out for the birthday buttons and make your day that bit more special with extra birthday greeting and the like
We did Cindy's for our daughters forth birthday a couple of years back and it was a fantastic start to a magical day

If you want princes outfit then you may find it better to wait until you get over to Florida they have a much better choice than you get in the UK and if you buy one in Wal-Mart it will be cheaper as well

hi all just booked our flights to orlando for next may(18th may...3rd june)i know theres been info on the forum about pre-booking a meal in the castle with the disney princess's but can't find it.i need to know how far in advance you can book and what the phone number is with codes.i am determined to do it this time as last time i didn't and we just popped into the castle on the off chance there were vacancies and obviously there wasn't.my 6 year old was so disappointed(and so were the rest of us).thanks for any help

Just thought I would let people know of a change (again) that appears to have been made to the booking procedures. I have just rung to book a character breakfast (180 days in advance). We are staying at a Disney resort, and I was told that I could book 190 days in advance if I was a resort guest. The lady I spoke to checked availability for me and Cindys breakfast was already full until 185 days time! We are staying for 2 weeks so I was able to get a slot and was also able to make additional reservations for restaurants up to 190 days time!! You do have to pay in full for Cindys but nothing for the other reservations and if we decide we don't want them we just don't turn up and aren't charged anything.

The lady I spoke to was brilliant by the way - very helpful and patient!

I could be wrong, but as far as I am aware, the staying on a Disney property rules are that you can book all your ADR (Advanced Dining Reservations) from the date of the first day of stay on site (ie you do not have to ring up each day that your ADR gets to its 180 days out mark....therefore, unless you are trying to book the CRT on your first day, you may indeed be able to book ahead of the 180 days normally allowed. This rule was introduced last year also.

As for reservations being fully booked at 185 days...I would not panic too much as my friend rang up the other day to book at 120 days out and did have a choice of quite a few times........so I would imagine it must depend on the time of year, and whether it is peak holiday season or not I guess.

Glad to hear you got all your ressies Atsujj, but as a courtesy to others that are trying to book, I would hope you would cancel any of the ressies that you decide not to take..... rather than just not show up

You can only book 190 days in advance as we go on 27th March until 12th April and I was only able to book until 6th April and will have to ring back in a few days to book anything we want for the last few days. As this is Easter we will be doing this! I feel it will be BUSY!!

Yes we will be cancelling anything we don't want! My query to the booking clerk related to dining on our first night and what would happen if we were delayed and couldn't make our slot - happily she was able to confirm that we would not lose any money. We wanted something booked as on previous trips to Disneyland Paris arriving at around 5 - 6pm we have been unable to find anywhere to have a (decent) meal that wasn't booked until 10pm! As we have 2 young children (6 and 2) we wanted the reassurance that we had a tentaive booking for the night of our arrival as we know we will be tired! Also we are not collecting our car until the following morning so won't be able to pop out far to find something else.

You need to book a breakfast or dinner with Disney Dining - see earlier posts on this thread on this post (including the telephone number when dialing from the UK).

Two I would recommend for a girly girl ;

1) Breakfast at Magic Kingdom's Cinderella's Castle other wise known as CRT (Cinderellas Royal Table)

2) Princess Storybook Breakfast at Epcot - PSB (Askeurs restaurant - in the Norway section)

These are both so very popular you will need to book at the- earliest opportunity you can which is is 180 days before you visit (it may be slightly earlier now if you are staying on Disney property).

Failing this you could try lunch or dinner at the castle (not as princessy) or you can also meet Cinderella at "Cinderella's Gala Feast" at the Grand Floridian hotel.

All must be booked in advance - and some (but not all) require payment in advance by credit card and the credit card holder must be attending the meal.

Just come back and to answer a few questions on here...

For Girls the Princess Dining at Norway in Epcot is probably the best value for money character experience there is now. They seem to have improved the whole character experience and have spotters whose job it is to make sure every table is visited once by each character. As the Princess dining can serve up to seven of the Disney princesses in a sitting (plus a set picture with the best looking one on that day, according to dads anyway), it beats the pants off the others which do four at best. My 3 year old was in heaven and this dad was frustrated that his wife wouldn't let him kiss any of the princesses.

My 8 year old son loved the Crystal Palace with Pooh (in MK, breakfast includes ee-or, piglet and tigger) and Playhouse Dinsey Hollywood and Vine (in MGM, Two of the Little Einsteins, Jo-Jo and Goliath and two "booster singers").

Both enjoyed Liberty Square with Goofy (in MK, Mickey, Minnie, Chip and Dale) and Garden Grill (in Epcot, same characters as Liberty).

I have to say the dinner food was good and the breakfast similarly, but not excellent, you don't go these for the food.

All of these I booked 30 days in advance, for the peak of July/August. But I saw a couple of walks in for a few, but not all experiences. Princess definately books up.

Thanks for that...the good thing about the Princess breakfast at Norway (Epcot) is that the photo opportunity is optional ..however, if you do include the photo package at this event for a family of 2 adults/ 2 children, the cost is round about the same as the photo inclusive (and not optional)Cinderellas Royal Table (MK).

Also maybe worth a mention, unless things have changed recently (and please advise mrscopeman), that Cinderella does not appear at the PSB breakfast at Epcot.

Cinderella doesn't appear at the Ankershus Princess Buffet.

Princesses we got were Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Belle (the posed/professional picture), Aerial (sans fins), The Mulan Princess (sorry ingnorant of her character name), Jasmine and what I thought was Mary Poppins in her white costume (but could have been Jane from Tarzan in colonial white costume).

We got them all within the space of an hour.
