you will know from the Turkey forum That Ive been here a long time and may know also that I am an estate agent!!

My thoughts are : Uzumlu nice enough place but a fair trip from the beach etc. Depends what you want to get out of it because if you are looking to live full time in the future bear in mind it could be a bit lonely in the winter, and how far are you going to have to go for shopping/restaurant/ entertainment/ hospital etc etc. This may be what you are looking for may be not.

Whatever you do please do a lot of research and make sure you have tight contracts and NEVER put all the money up front.

Thanks for the advice - it's definitely something to consider. I know it's a fair distance to Fethiye town/the beach etc; but I was really taken with Uzumlu when I visited there last year.

Must admit, it is a bit isolated, and I'm sure the winter's have their fair share of dreaded blackouts! But I also experienced those in Ovacik during the winter, and as you know, it is pretty quiet there too throughout the winter months.

I'm still very much in the early stages of deciding what to do, and will definitely take all advice on board before committing myself to anything.

Interesting to know you're an estate agent! If you have any good properties on your books in the Fethiye area (am starting to consider Karagozler(?) now Uzumlu seems to be a no-no) please let me know!

Strawberry Have been out of office for most of the week and will be updating my web with new properties soon I have got some villas in Oludeniz but there are only 10 nand 5 have sold in first week as they are as rare as rocking horse poo!! But I will be adding all to my web and will let you know.
