Planning an adventure to Egypt that includes Luxor, Cairo and the Red Sea. If things go well, I could end up staying there for 2 to 3 months! I am holding an EU (Finnish passport).
Is it so that if I intend to stay longer than 2 weeks I'd have to register with the local police? If I am spending a few weeks in different places, how will the visa situation play out.
Thanks for any help,
Adam
You can enter the country on a normal visa that you buy at Cairo airport. This costs US$ 15 and is valid for one month usually. You can then extend it for a further 2 or 3 months or even longer. It is very cheap to extend, only about LE 20, depending on for how long. You can renew in Cairo at the Mogamah Building in Tahrir Square or in Tor in Sinai or, I believe, in Luxor.
Great! Appreciate the reply. BTW .. did you ever receive the PM I sent you? No problem if you chose not to respond .. was just wondering, that's all.
