I was in Turkey the last week 23rd to 30th October 2006, and had 7 days of Sunshine, During the day it reached a scorching 35, In the evening it went down to 18, Many many places were closed for the season then but plenty were still open, But should you chose to go then you will get bargains everywhere with Clothes and Food as it is the end of the season.

The very hot weather usually does break some time in October, I was there middle of October a few years ago and the Turks were saying we were lucky with the weather. The year after it rained the same week so it is a bit of a gamble I think, but personally I would choose Turkey over Tenerife

it is very hard to forcast but the days are warm and the evenings can get quite chilly
